I'm proud of myself, having raised my daughter alone after my divorce when she was very small. I'm proud that I worked every job I could to ensure she could stay at school and get her exams to enable her to get a much better start in life than I did.
I'm proud through scimping and saving I managed to pay for her music lessons, her school trips, paid for her to be a majorette and everything that entailed, and everything that would stop her standing out as a kid who came from a single parent family..even tho' at the time I couldn't afford new shoes or clothing for myself.
I'm proud that my daughter grabbed those opportunities and became an accomplished musician, and got top marks in all her exams . Took part in every sports event , and gained medals in most. Including Martial arts ... So accomplished in fact that she was featured in the local newspapers ...
I'm proud she went on to become a woman who works very hard , has never smoked, drank or taken recreational drugs... and rose to the top of her field in the corporate world.. and I'm even prouder that in her 30's she followed her dream and love of animals to open Boarding kennels and cattery, in a non English speaking country where she had to learn the language, to have half a chance of succeeding.. and I'm verrrry, verrry proud, that for many years now, she's put her all into those kennels , and grooming studios, and made a huge success of it working 7 days a week .. and employs others who also like her had a love for animals and they care for anything up to 56 animals at any one time day in day out.. !!
She's my hero!! Can you tell?
