Is Autumn Your Favorite Time of Year? If so, Why?

Ah Autumn, my soul is wedded to thee...so many good memories of the cooler weather, leaves blowing around from the wind, playing outside with friends, drinking hot cocoa before winter, the list goes on...
all year long I say aloud 'is it October yet' cuz the last two weeks of that month is glorious viewing of the brilliant colors while riding thru the Shenandoah Valley taking in the Blue Ridge Mountains all around me :)🍁🍁🍁

I hear ya @Butterfly the heat can be miserable! Hopefully it will cool down and you can be comfortable. 💜

Absolutely love Fall. No other season compares IMHO. Here in New England the foliage coloring is gorgeous, days are comfortably warm, but the nights are cool, even chilly at times.
We're heading for the cottage on the lake in Maine next week and we should be there to see the colors brightening. Hopefully the loons won't have left yet and we'll still hear their eerie notes during the days and evenings.

This tune, by Cheryl Wheeler sums up my feeling about Fall here in New England.

There is no doubt about it, Autumn can be a spectacularly colourful season and I do love this time of year, but it's also a reminder that harsher, colder weather is around the corner and I don't like that.
Spring however is my favourite season, when everything is busting back into life, Winter is behind us and those long warm days will soon be here. :)

I know a lot of folks born in October, great month for a birthday! It's always so very nice when it cools off isn't it? We are at 90 f today and will cool off tomorrow a bit.
