Do you purchase shoe cover ups?

I am trying to find a good brand of shoe cover ups so I can put them over my shoes and protect my carpet when necessary. I have been looking for them online and I haven't found any that sound as if they will last long enough to walk across my carpet when I need to. They say they rip when they are putting them on or they won't stay on. Can you recommend a good brand?

Sorry, I don't think I'm any use to you after all. These were bought at a UKDIY Big Box store...

My floors have never been clean enough to worry!

How about putting a pair of men's non-skid slip on socks, like they use in the hospital, over your shoes.

I have tried some very big socks over my shoes before I started looking for the shoe cover ups and they were so hard to pull over the shoes. Apparently, they are too stretchy and aren't big enough to go on easily because they didn't. If you think of something else to try, please feel free to let me know. I'm open for all suggestions and thank you for this one.

Never heard of them!
They're excellent for using to cover up the shoes of workmen who have to walk over your carpets in and out of the house.

Also people will often slip them over their slippers to pop out to the garden

I'm sure you must have seen people wear them on TV...in forensic scenes for example...
here's a picture of Angela Merkel wearing them while visiting a Dairy Farm...

Seen them but not for home use, any work person that comes here always bring their own. Never thought of having them here for my use or others. I have mats for anyone coming in and out of house to use. I did not think y'all meant the ones shown in the picture. Thought it must have been something else.

I always wore slippers indoors but recently my knees and legs feel a bit better in sneakers with a soft innersole. I Purchase sneakers now strictly for indoor use.
me too...

I used to walk bare feet everywhere indoors, until 2 years ago when I got Plantar Fascitis from standing all day at work.... The pain was horrible, I could walk on my bare feet without agony, and was told by the doc you should never walk on bare feet for any length of time or in flat soles like flip flops!! Always to use at least a 1/2 inch heel.. so now I wear the sketchers memory foam insoles trainers indoors...

Anyway sorry, to derail this thread...

I keep a pair of slippers by my front door and change into them as soon as I come home. The state of our pavements is disgusting, I wouldn't want to tramp all that muck into my house! I cringe whenever I see tv ads where people have their shoe-ed feet on beds and chairs!

I clicked on the link and read the reviews, good and bad, and decided to try them. I won't be needing them often but they sound as if they should hold up good enough for what I need them for. I also will be testing their "special delivery" instructions since this order will be light weight so if they leave it at my basement this time, I can manage it. Thanks again!

I never heard of them either. Maybe I don't get the point, but don't the shoe cover ups soon get just as dirty as the shoes? (Unless you've been outdoors walking in mud, I guess.)

@Sunny

They are removed after each use. They're disposable.
The point is not to soil someone's floor. Put them on just before entering, take them off when leaving.
