Probiotics

Anyone here use them? Any advantage felt using them?

I ask because I received a free sample when i bought something else [magnesium spray] . I read the sales pitch in the leaflet, just wondered what the brain-trust here thought?

That is part of my asking....inflammation. I wonder if it would help curb some of the inflammation that causes arthritis ?

Yes, that is supposed to be one of the benefits. I take my daily probiotics in drinks and yogurt.
The pill form, if it contains extra calcium is something to stay away from, because that isn't good for your heart.

I spoke to my doctor and he told me that changing your diet is the best way to reduce inflammation and promote good gut health he also told me that many of these probiotics go through your system without dissolving and so were pretty much ineffective and even the ones that do dissolve are not as effective as foods that contain healthy ingredients such as yogurt and green veggies.

Well the free sample is 10 capsules , I'll follow the instructions , see what [if anything] happens. Might consider a months worth, after that ?

I'm taking probiotics AND prebiotics. I can't tell if it's helping any but it's what the gastro recommended.

This stuff [Terrflora]....... is billed as a "Broad Spectrum Synbiotic" Said to be a combination of prebiotics & probiotics, which of course the sales pitch says is the best ?

I take them because my wife tells me to, I am unsure that they do anything, but sometimes a guy just goes along with what his wife wants because it is just easy.
… and then again maybe it does help.
