Curious... To make or Not to make... the Bed

Having a discussion with Lorie these days, and just wondering how often you change the sheets in your bed... I as a male would probably do it once a month... Lorie changes our sheets weekly... What is the consensus out there about this topic...

Make the bed everyday...

It's complicated but once a week is the short answer. I'm a single sleeper on a queensize bed so I sleep on one side for a week and the other side for the next week. Pillowcases are changed every week. So that's washing the sheets at least every 2 weeks which is basically at least once a week for each side.

My 2 dogs sleep on a sheet that's on top of my sheets plus have their own beds on top of that sheet so the dogs never touch my sheets plus they're well groomed and so am I. It's a "family" affair😆

well I like clean bedding - it has to be every 5days -but if the cats have been on the bottom sheet with grubby paws it will come off '
it's strange that men would change it monthly or longer -dont think its in their daily chore of things to do '

Sheet washing falls under my household responsibilities. I wash the sheets every week, and change the pillow cases twice a week. I am not as diligent about making the bed. I do it properly once a week and do a "casual" job of it every day.

I don't know what she does in there during the day
I do know that after my shower the bed is made
Seems ever so often sheets are on the line

I only notice when there's flannel sheets and pillow cases on the bed in summer
(hate that.....tough to find the cool side of the pillow with flannel)

Oh, and somebody comes in after my shower and wipes it down...prolly her

Depends on the temperature. These days, (after major weight loss) I don't perspire unless it's above 90, so I'll change sheets every couple of weeks. On the few days it's over 100 outside, if I wake up sweaty, I'll change them right away.
As for "making the bed," I only use one blanket on top of a fitted sheet, so there isn't much to make. In the winter when it's cold, I just sleep in warmer clothes - polyester sweat pants & polyester shirt & thick socks.

Gary, I think you're well and truly spoiled. :)

We change the sheets each week and I usually make the bed every morning as soon as we're up and about while my wife gets our breakfast ready. Works for us.

If we switched chores the bed would still get made up but with me in charge of our daily breakfast it would most likely be cold cereal. ☹

You get two sheets. Every Saturday you put the clean sheet on the top, the top sheet on the bottom, the bottom sheet you turn in to the laundry boy. Any man turns in the wrong sheet, spends the night in the box.
