Chinese woman gives birth at the age of 67

A 67-year-old woman in China has become the oldest person in the country to give birth after having a baby girl.
The woman, a retired nurse identified by the surname Tian, had her baby via cesarean section at the Zaozhuang Maternity and Child Health Hospital in Shandong Province on Friday.

By the time the child starts school the Mom will be around 72yrs old. Honestly I feel sorry for the baby girl. I could never raise a child at that age. I can't imagine what is in the child's future.

If she's 67, how old is the father? And outside of bragging rights, for the oldest birth mother, why would anyone put a 67 year old woman on fertility treatments?

I have no idea why people do these things. She's old enough to be this baby's great-great-grandmother!

They said the oldest was a 74 year old in India who had twin daughters. That is obscene!
