...according to this UC Berkeley grad student. One of my many farmer cousins posted this on fb this morning. Apparently the fool has gotten all the way into a doctoral program without realizing where his food or the fiber for his clothing comes from. Just posting a copy of the now deleted tweet because the facebook source linked to a political website.

Of course, he issued a completely believable 'apology' after deleting the tweet. :rolleyes: Always love those, "Oops, I really meant it but got so much negative feedback that even my 99.9% nescient self realizes I bombed it" type apologies.

The farming community definitely noticed it. The sad thing is that among his peers, he very well may not be in the minority as far as the core disdain goes.
 
I'm of two minds on this. On the one hand, StarSong, doesn't everyone deserve an equal voice? On the other hand, having that brings society down to the lowest common denominator.

Sometimes the hateful ones are openly expressing an underlying consensus. Sometimes they're just hateful idiots. This guy strikes me as falling between the two and that's disturbing.

Was about to say the same about the UK. If I'm interested in an issue, I read US news from both 'sides' :( , then UK, Canadian, Australian etc sources and try to piece together the truth. Have noticed the UK is often as polarized as the US.

I’m clueless. I don’t even follow politics in our own country so haven’t a clue what’s going on BUT I certainly DO feel it on an emotionally and spiritual level; if that makes any sense.
 
This young fool has obviously never seen much of the world. We lived in the city most of our lives, and moved to a rural area when we retired, about 17 years ago. It's a difference like Day and Night. Out here, the environment is clean, the people are honest and friendly, and the police reports usually consist of a DUI and a nuisance barking dog. It's a little inconvenient sometimes....having to drive several miles to the bigger stores and hospital, etc., but that sure beats living among drugged up criminals, pollution, and constant noise.

It is a strange phenomenon. For the first time in human history the average person can think they are equal in importance, that their words are as meaningful, as Anyone else. Nothing like this has ever happened before and signals a total change in one's perspective toward themselves and everyone else.

I couldn’t agree with you more. When we moved to the country it was the best decision of my life. It was almost like living on another planet the differences were THAT obvious. Theres probably a lot more work to do but there’s a peacefulness that’s city life can never offer ( for me that is )
 
This is the weirdest, most peculiar topic I've seen: He had to have some type
of motivation for such a total display of ignorance. What was it?
It is just another event we have to endure in a free society.

Post 24 & 26, sums it up' any half-wit can type to his heart's content.
