I applaud this young girl for her concerns. However, I am convinced that Anything that would be done about the Climate/Environment would be a case of "too little/too late". Unless humanity suddenly decided to curb its excessive population growth, and give up most of our modern conveniences....heat/AC/transportation/electricity, etc.,etc., any actions that could be taken without completely turning our societies upside down, would be superficial, at best. Eventually, all the human excesses will catch up with the planet, and between rising oceans, and increasing hunger, etc., some balance will eventually be restored. None of those of our ages will see the chaos that is coming, but our grandkids and beyond will have to find new ways to cope.
The Tipping Point is very near....if not already here....and anyone living in any low lying oceanfront areas would be well advised to sell, while their properties are still of some value. It will take decades to transition from fossil fuel use, to renewable resources, and every day that passes with current energy sources will only make things worse, and hasten the day of "reckoning".
