UPS: "Your package is in your city, on a truck driven by Mike. It will arrive on your doorstep at 6:27 PM today."

FedEx: "Your package is coming. You'll get it when we get there."

USPS: "What package?"

Amazon: "We are already inside your apartment. Check the bathroom."

Facebook: "We know you were thinking about getting a toaster yesterday. Here are 20 ads for toaster ovens."

A month ago or longer, FedEx delivered a package to my door. It's a hat/cap. It is not mine, delivered to the wrong address . I have called them twice, they said they would send a truck to pick it up.......No truck, it is still laying on the table on the porch. I'm calling them once more, then it goes in the trash.

Aw, ''waste not, want not'', can't you at least give to charity? You don't wear hats/caps in cold Ohio?

Suggestion: Rather than trash it, donate it. Or leave it on a bench at a bus stop in a poor neighborhood.

Not that I noticed. It could have been delivered by elves...ā€¦..it IS that time of year, y'know.

In our old neighborhood, a huge truck would pull up outside the neighborhood, the back door would roll up and drop a ramp and a quadrunner-type of thing would pull out with a guy driving, loaded with parcels and make its way around the neighborhood. Next year, it'll probably be "unmanned"; it'll just roll up to your door and a catapult will toss the package on your porch.
