What? no food stamps? That's outrageous.

President Obama’s new border spending request will pay for schooling, health care and lawyers for the unaccompanied illegal immigrant children surging across the border, officials told Congress on Thursday as they pleaded for quick action on the $3.7 billion package.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Congress must approve the money this month, saying that if nothing is done before lawmakers leave for a monthlong August vacation, one of his agencies will have to cut its other immigration enforcement in order to hold and transport the children.

The lawyers for the children were planned for much earlier even than this, Davey. They planned to hire a 100 of them.i I was going to post about this in answer to Mr. Jim asking for a source, but never got around to it, and it takes quite awhile to find a website that is not conservative, so it is seen as being credible. :)
 
All children must be protected... however..

They are children.

They need to be cared for in spite of the cost.

We are the wealthiest nation on Earth & there are some things that are more important than money.
 
This whole situation is out of control. And when the spending on them gets out of control other things will happen. Never make promises that cannot be kept and that is what is happening here. And a lot of these "children" are posers. You have gang members slipping through. Some gray haired adults have tried enrolling in public schools as children. Some adults have rented children to pose as a family. And many so called family members are just as likely to be illegals themselves.

Rather ship them all over the country I would just start setting up tent cities. I would spend the money on an accelerated deportation process and tent cities. I would give them medical attention, clean them up, feed them, give them a handbook on how to become a US citizen and send them right back.

You also halt ALL aid to countries like Honduras and Guatemala until they set a very public system for taking back their own citizens.

And last but not least the border gets sealed even if the National Guard has to patrol until the Border Patrol is beefed up.
 
Looks like they are sending a plane load of these kids back to Honduras and Guatemala,the thinking is of these government see this then they might just secure their own borders.

It is said that the Illegal Children are coming here to be protected from violence, and in the news today, the black community in Chicago wonders why all that money is given to Illegals for protection, when their own children need to be protected from violencel Where do they go for protection?

As many as are escaping violence there many coming here for plain old greed. BILLIONS of dollars are sent back across the border.

This sending oney across the border/ to different countries also can launder criminal money and/or fund terrorism. One must also wonder how much government money is being sent back. NYC immigrants from the Caribbean got caught sending food bought with food stamp money back to their home country and black market.

I also heard today these poor "children" are frequently being given up to smugglers and gang members since their is no way of verifying who they or their "relatives" are. In other words these so called "families" awaiting their arrival are part of the smuggling operation.

There is ALOT of bath water to be thrown out here.
 
Very Interesting links, WhatInThe...I knew money was being sent back home, but didn't realize there was so much money being sent. Speaking of terrorists, illegals are being given free trips on our commercial airlines to whereever they want to go, with no way to identify them or track them, which would be ideal for terrorists to infiltrate our country.
