Has there been any songs ever released which has your name in the title...?

What about your children, did you name any of them after a favourite song?

I didn't name my daughter after the song, but there are a few out there with her name in the title ... one of them is this...

I'm named after the WWII song, Lili Marlene. My sister is named after the folk song, Barbara Allen. My Dad was a musician and named us. My Daughter is Laura Rene' named after Don't walk away Renee' by the Left Bank (yes, yes, I know I spelled her name like the French spell the boy's name Rene'. I just like the clean look of it better.

I like this version of "my" song best, although The Four Tops also did a great cover of The Left Banke's hit.

(and it's spelled Renée!)

ah, sorry about that. No offense intended. My daughter's name has no accent mark at all on her birth certificate (Rene) at all as it is kind of based on the following notion as we don't speak French :giggle: but we pronounce it Re NAY with the accent on the second syllable.

"The name derives from the Latin name Renatus. René is the masculine form of the name (Renée being the feminine form). In some non-Francophone countries, however, there exists the habit of giving the name René (sometimes spelled without an accent) to girls as well as boys."

I love the name Renée, as well as the song. My long time friend has that name but since she was a child, she's been called ree-nee ..I'm not keen on that version

My daughter actually goes by her first name (Laura) but has a fit if anyone pronounces her name any other way than Re-Nay. I agree with you. I do not like the alternative version.

This thread reminds me of a DJ we had living on our street. Every year we would have a block party and he would play a list of songs with all the women living on the streets names. He played Barbara Ann for me, Eleanor Rigby ,Diana ,Marylou, and Runaround Sue. He left out all the guys !

I can think of 3 songs :
1.A Boy Name Sue-Johnny Cash
2.Run Around Sue-Dion
3. Wake up Little Susie-Everly Brothers
