If it's science fiction or Action Hero films or series I love it. My favourite has to be the Avenger Series, Thor is just sooooo darn pretty.

Have to admit to not liking Picard so far, so much advertising hype, hope it gets better.

Of all the Star Trek captains who did you think was the best? My vote would go to Janeway.

Jane Way, I suppose. You said Janeway above, I though her first name was Jane, last name Way, guess I'm mistaken.

Mr. Spoke (the original had his moments)
James Kirk-did not care for

Favorite was 7 of 9, pretty lady, snotty (only because she was an alien and we did not understand her) an ice princess?
When she wore her red costume-hupa, hupa

Prefer novels to film, especially those with time distortions.

Major, big time, Star Wars fans. Have all of the movies, except Solo. Seen the last Star Wars movie, Rise Of Skywalker on the day it opened in theaters here. Plan on seeing it again and will definitely buy the Blu-Ray DVD when it comes out. We also have, me/Vader costume and wife/Stormtrooper costume. Small Star Wars figurines and numerous pictures. Went to Celebration a few years ago, when it was in Orlando, Florida.

Kathryn Janeway for me too. Love that series, been watching it this afternoon. Also a big fan of Star Wars and other Sci-Fi.

Double RR
The thread of art where fantasy type artwork is displayed-really used to like that type of artwork, not I'm not sure I like it.

Avatar, just didn't hack it. I became disillusioned with the green critters.

Almost made it through one of the 'Hobbit' movies, like the scenes but
the actors and the plot, watched two hours, went to bed.

Loved the first 'Starwars,' it was breathtaking, but once seen, the sequels
are all the same.

I enjoy science fiction my favorites are the first Star Wars followed by the first Star Trek series, and some of the old 50s science-fiction films and TV shows such as The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Twilight Zone.

My pleasure reading is almost 100% sci-fi. But sci-film/TV is mostly mediocre, if not bad (imho). There are only a handful of good sci-fi films and series. Best captain is Picard. Still like the new gen Star Trek.

The Day the Earth Stood Still is outdated by current measures, but still one of the best sci-fi films made (imho). I still like it. Probably have seen it 10 times.

Big sci-fi fan here since my teens. I cut my teeth on the "classics"....Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein.....

I've always loved sci-fi and "monster" movies.
(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)
I have a book collection with almost everything those 3 authors wrote including Asimov's earliest stuff written for the 'pulps'. I keep rereading the Foundation series. As 'sophmoric' as her books may be (meaning high school type sci-fi) , still enjoy Andre Norton.

Kirk DID start the whole shebang, so I am sentimental about the original series, even though it was schlock compared to Next Generation & Capt. Picard.
Yeah. But when the original came on, I was glued to it. Tastes became more 'sophisticated' as I got older. And, you have to give it credit for a number of things, including first interracial kiss on TV.

"Jacob's Ladder," was the spookiest, scary, probably because it could be so true.

could never read fantasy sf, monsters, and evil empires does not do it for me. Elfs, funny looking aliens and Flying horses-horse feathers (Is that a pun)

Still like the old Frankenstein and his slow gait, (the oldies) never could figure why the villagers had difficulty catching him.
Understand he is currently employed by Power and Light Companies. He likes to climb power poles and get a little charge.

Oh, I was glued to it too and Still Am! Spock is certainly one of the greatest characters ever created for TV. I love the first Star Trek, I surely do!

Hey, I'm new here! In fact, this is my first post! I wish Spielburg would come out with some new, wonderful, almost believable time travel movies! I hunger for them! Kinda wish I could travel back to 1959!

Hi Gaer and welcome to the forum, lots of interesting posts here, glad to see you join in.

Doc Who, Firefly, Star Wars and all the superheroes ever written or on screen
