What Would The Human Race Be Like If Stars In The Skies Were Not Visible?

For me I have been a star gazer all of my life and last week it hit me that the stars have had a huge impact on directing our lives. I picture us as being much more lonely, depressed, afraid and hostile. If the Moon was not visible it would be even much worse.

if the moon wasnt visible -we would not be here -if we had no stars then we would not know any different fmdog'
now if the sun was not here then we would all die of the cold and no food - its all natures way of living ..dont think
you can be without any of our visible things!

If the stars in the skies were not visible, humanity might have an even more exaggerated idea of its own importance, thinking that there was nothing else out there, and possibly beyond ourselves. We might cease to consider the possibility of life on other worlds, and turn within to worry about other civilizations of molemen inside the Earth...

In days past, marine navigation would have been a heck of a lot more difficult. :)

I can just see it now:

"Helmsman, steer toward that cloud!"

"Which cloud, Captain?"

"THAT cloud, you idiot!"

"It keeps moving, sir!"

"Well, steer toward one that's not moving!"

"They're all moving, Captain!"

"Keelhaul that man! First Officer, put an ad on Monster.com for a new helmsman!"

Star gazing is difficult for city dwellers .. too many lights to compete with the stars ...
Now getting out into the countryside, away from any interference, is heavenly!

It would be so sad never to see shiny objects in the sky, only a void. 🥺
Looking at the stars gives purpose and wonder to life. It says "Anything is possible, after all, look at us, we exist."

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson decide to go on a camping trip. After dinner and a bottle of wine, they lay down for the night, and go to sleep.

Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend.

"Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see."

Watson replied, "I see millions of stars."

"What does that tell you?"

Watson pondered for a minute.

"Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets."
"Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo."
"Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three."
"Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant."
"Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow."
"What does it tell you, Holmes?"

Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke: "Watson, you idiot. Someone has stolen our tent!"

I was not approaching the issue from a physics point of view, rather a spiritual/mental one so you misread it.
