Determined not to miss a call on your mobile...

I take my cell phone pretty much wherever I go, except for the shower. Phones are not waterproof, at least, I don't think they are. For the shower, I use a First Alert alarm system, just in case I fall.
What is this? I thought First Alerts only offer fire, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Don't see anything else on their website.

I turn off late at night to charge it up. Turn it on when I get up and leave here and there downstairs where I can here it ping or ring. I have a small lightweight pouch on a waist tie andwear that from time to time. I dont get much input and I dont use it continually but I am very aware of it's presence in the home

When out and sbout its in my handbag but if i dont hear it ringing then I dont worry. I do not have it clenched in my hands in the street or on public transport like so many do and this irritates me big-time. I enjoy my smartphone and what it offers but endeavour to control overuse

My smartphone vendor, Cricket, told me to wait until the battery dies before recharging it so that the battery lasts longer. I hardly use the phone and charged it Saturday and it looks like I'll have to charge it again tomorrow. Is one week good? I thought if I hardly use it it would last a long time. Opinions?

Most batteries have a longer lifespan if kept at, or near full charge....that goes for everything from a car battery to a cell phone. Whenever we use our cell phone, I recharge it whenever we get back home. If we're staying somewhere overnight, I plug it in at bedtime. If Cricket says let it "die", they are probably anticipating your bringing the phone back for a new battery replacement, or swapping for a new phone.
