Romantic or Creepy?

@win231 - Funny!! :ROFLMAO: But might attract the police.
@Aunt Bea - hmmm...gun threat not a good idea
@StarSong - I had a serious problem for several years with a stalker. Documented incidents, made Police reports, a buddy even offered to bust the guy's kneecaps:eek: (umm, no thanks). Police visited the guy at his home and in their own way told him to knock it off. But, I tend not to give those types the benefit of the doubt. They are very slick/clever and extremely frustrating to deal with. I don't buy the "just a nice guy trying to brighten her day" thing.

This is what one of the posters that I respect on Dear Abby had to say about it. I agree with everything except to have her partner confront him. If her guy is also about 85, the middle-aged stalker could overpower him or even kill him.

"There are motion detectors that you can attach to your garden hose and when someone activates it by coming near your patio, it sprays water at them. They are mainly used to keep animals away, but it would let this guy know that he's not welcome. If you want to be firmer, leave a strongly worded note for him saying that his stalking is not welcome and to leave you alone. Next step up would be having your partner confront him, security cameras, complaints to the community management. The police won't do anything because he hasn't made any threats."

I think maybe he just likes you and wanted to do something nice for you. I once had a neighbor who left a note on my door saying he was in love with me and if I wanted to meet him, he just lives across the street and I should knock on his door. I didn't! I've never even seen him! I like men who TAKE what they like! If he's in love with me, he should make himself known, grab me and kiss me! (Well, I'm way too old now) but I write a monthly feature article for a magazine and recently got a letter from a man who searched any photo ever taken of me and wrote that he framed them and hung the pictures in his bathroom so I'm the first thing he sees every morning! He probably didn't mean it the way I pictured it, but I thought THAT was creepy!
Oh dear, I hope he's not on this forum!

Your way would not go over in the current "me too" climate.

C'est Moi: No, I'm sure it wouldn't! I guess I mean to say I have never liked men who were afraid to approach you. I didn't like men who were afraid and weak. Just a personality flaw in me, I guess!

Geez, I hope you don't think that OP happened to me, it was a letter written to Dear Abby. The lady is 85 and I'm 77. And I surely would have put a stop to his behavior after the second try, or would have confronted him about it.

I'm a no-nonsense person.....would've nipped those shenanigans in the bud from the beginning.....and our barking dog would join in...
trying all the above on the second deposit in the cup from him should've yielded him to stop everything....if not, yeah the Police would be called describing a creepy stalker, day or night, trespassing on my property and littering....keep the evidence by the way.

Ya know how long I waited behind my front door?

When young and working in a factory with mostly men working there, I came back from a break and found a note on my machine saying basically, "Look for note behind water fountain". So I went to the water fountain and found a note from some guy professing to find me very attractive and wanted to get to know me. I found it suspicious because none of my co-workers would go to such lengths to ask me out, they just did face to face.

It's a long time ago, so I forgot most of the details, but eventually after many notes back and forth I found out he was a big shot at the company. My boss and co-workers got real nervous that he was hanging around the department. I started getting nervous that he would have me fired if I didn't play nice, by then we were talking on the phone but had never met in person, I kept putting him off. Not only I didn't like the power imbalance, he was also married, he had cheated on his first wife with the second wife and now was doing it to her, too.

I finally found the safe getaway. I set him up with a hot friend of mine who didn't mind dating married men and could not be fired since she didn't work there. He left me alone and she eventually dumped him.

What's wrong with a guy in his 40s being enraptured with a gal, who is 85? Could it be poor vision on his part? And this flower thing has happened 18 times, without the flower leaver disclosing his identity? Plus the misguided lover hasn't noticed the BVDs hanging on the line? And the BVD wearer, who is probably in his 80s, is going he-man ape over this? I'm no Columbo , but when there's a murder, you always suspect the spouse. You have to admit that he has the best opportunity to plant the evidence, he gets to flatter his woman, and play protector.

But, the lady SAW the middle aged Romeo leave the flower cup once. It is not the husband.

I wish Abby had updates on the letters, we'll never know what the lady did for a solution.

Leave trash on your porch shaped like this:

Can't help but wonder what trash collectors would do if someone put this at the curb.
🤣😆😃

Check it out, I hope. I often wonder how many cut-up or even full bodies end up in the trash and no one ever sees it, since they use machines to pick up those trash bins, everything is automated. In the refuse station they crush the trash into tightly compact cubes and put into trucks to take to dump sites, takes up less space.

Is hers the only house he does this at? It could be he leaves flowers at several houses, not just this lady's.
