Have a summer trailer on Lake Erie, Canadian side. Went to check on things last week and so far so good. The trailer is on high ground but on the drive did notice that some of the cottages on the water are going to be in for a rough time. The conservation authority is issuing warnings and flooding is certainly to follow. Mother Nature at her worst.

I had a holiday on a park like the one you describe Lee,
in 1989, I had a cottage, I was fascinated about how you
need to prepare for the winter, it was October when I was
there.

Billy Bowman was the owner, I can't remember the name
of the park, but the one next door was called "Highland Park".

It was all near a place called Consecon, I think that is how
it is spelled.

A bit off topic, but I remember bringing the docks out of the
lake, blowing the water out of the mobile homes and adding
anti-freeze, I also fixed some electrics for him.

A holiday that I still remember.

Hoak's restaurant in Hamburg is located a hop,skip&jump from Lake Erie,when high winds&snow combine this is what happens to business&houses along Route 5

My "guess" would be wind blown sand on the house and snow covered ground by the house (????)
