Time to lose some sleep...like we really need thatβš‘βœ¨β˜„πŸ’₯πŸ”₯

So, set your clocks back...or else you won't know the time:ROFLMAO::giggle::unsure:

I can't say I hate many things but I absolutely despise, hate, grrrrr, this switch. Any pet owner knows that the pet has an internal clock that disagrees with time switches. Animals are smarter than the people that dreamed this time thing up!

Ruth, I never know the time because I don't wind my clocks or put new batteries in them......I always forget to buy batteries....and I can never find those bloody keys for winding the big clocks........what time is it now, lass? 😊

Most of our clocks are radio controlled so I don't have to change them.. only the clocks in the kitchen have to be changed and my watches.. . It's still a PITA tho'...

As if Daylight Saving Time wasn't enough, Leap Year also just confused my digital watches as to day of the month. Changing time and dates on digital watches can be lots of fun, and the method of changing them varies. I think that changing the date and time on my digital car clock involves entering a state of altered consciousness...:eek:

Talking of which, has anybody ever forgotten to change their clocks ?

A few years ago I forgot to put mine forward in Spring, turning up at my office an hour early to find the place deserted I thought maybe there had been a fire alarm ! I felt a right fool when I realised what I’d done

I was bored yesterday ... set all my clocks (6 of them) an hour ahead. So now I can be confused until Sunday.
Wanted to prove a point to myself, that in retired life, it doesn't matter what time it is ~~ except for watching TV shows.:ROFLMAO:

Of course, my computer, iPhone and car clock will do their own changing when the time comes.

This is harder to do now that a lot of modern devices automatically adjust themselves. We're retired now so the twice annual asinine ritual of adjusting time pieces forward and back isn't as big a deal but I'm still hoping California joins Arizona and others in doing away with the need for this nonsense. Don...

Ruthanne has already started a thread on this subject, titled, β€˜Don't forget, and I bet I won’t be the last person to say it’

Sorry Ruthanne, I’m not trying to bomb it, just wondered what happened if any members had forgotten to adjust the time ...

Personally, I wouldn't mind if we stayed on DST, year round. About the best reason I've heard for reverting back to standard time in the Fall, is so that school kids don't have to walk to school in the dark.

We have wrist watches, and a half dozen clocks scattered throughout the house that we have to set twice a year...no big deal.

A positive effect of these time changes is the reminders to check the smoke alarm batteries twice a year.....good advice.

" Daylight saving time was established by the Standard Time Act of 1918. The Act was intended to save electricity for seven months of the year, during World War I. "

I vote for picking one and sticking with it.
