Lots of Time to Spare we have... What to do???

I've been busy finding things on the net. Did you know Disney Land has a problem with people dumping ashes of their loved ones all over the place? Yup, they even have a special code to alert staff- and they even have a special vacuum cleaner. If you think that's strange, there's are some videos that start off with, "And then, I was abducted". And I bet you don't know some believe the last two US Presidents had six fingers on each hand. A donkey will sink in quicksand, but a mule won't. Grapes explode when you put them in the microwave. And ,Ta DA.......

I've got plenty to do, but I still waste a lot of time online, including here reading and posting on threads. LOL

My back yard looks as green as the Amazon, need to pull those weeds. I have a closet to organize. A file cabinet to downsize and organize. And a million (exaggeration) of photos to organize. But I would rather be here chatting with you guys or watching TV than doing all that.

Living in the boondocks, it seems like I never run out of things to do. With this rather wet Winter, I've got gobs of outdoor stuff lined up as soon as things start drying out a bit. I've just about caught up on indoor projects, so I need to get out and start getting some yard work done. The grass is starting to green up nicely, and yesterday we had a half dozen deers munching in the yard....Perhaps I need to hire them until I can get the mower out.

Adopt a couple of goats and you won't have to worry about any grass or weeds (or anything else) in your yard.

The only new thing I've done is start writing a journal, whats happened here in WNY and around the nation.I don't write in it every day, will be interesting to look back and read in a couple months from now,if things have change more postively, one can only hope
Its a no brainer for me because I've kept yearly journals since 1987,along with my retirement journal from 2011.I don't write every day in that one either Sue

Ditto... it's a beautiful day today and will be sunny for the next few days, but unfortunately hubs and I are both still trying to get over the sickness lurgy which I went down with a few days ago, and he caught yesterday presumably from me, and he's been in bed since.

I'm out of bed, but not well enough to eat...so everything has to be on hold for a while.... .
Hope you two continue to feel like yourselves again @hollydolly ;)

...and it's only just started, wait until we're into week 3 or 4...
where my daughter lives in Spain, they are in much more severe lockdown than us.. they are allowing people only to drive to work and they must show proof of that to the many police checkpoints, and they must return straight home after work. (unless going to a medical appointment, supermarket or hairdresser (yes the salons are still open even though nothing else is) ... they must also show, proof of doctor or hospital appointments, and their details are taken as well. They are preventing anyone from going shopping further than their very local area.. , and no-one must be carrying a passenger unless it's someone who is ill or elderly and they're going to see a doctor.. . In the case of parents only one child is permitted to ride with one adult..no more in the car.. no excuses unless they're ill and going to hospital ...

Some of the larger supermarkets are blocking off all non food aisles.. so no-one can buy clothing or hardware.. ( apparently it's more difficult to keep those things germ free)...

My daughters' friend went to buy a packet of screws from the largest chain , (unintended pun)... and was refused, as non-essential...

I mean where does it stop... how does someone say a packet of screws are non essential,? somebody's roof could be falling off... someone's childs' pram wheel could have fallen off...

The latest today is that if there's a death in the family.. there are to be NO funerals.. the body will be taken immediately to be cremated within 24 hours, regardless of family are able to be there or not.. and then only immediate family, no extended family...

I agree with all their implementations , although I'm heartbroken for anyone who can't be at a loved ones funeral ( they've closed everything they could possibly close , including the beaches and parks , ) and hopefully those measures will prevent unnecessary deaths ...however people are feeling horrible after only one week of being cooped up. The Spanish are gregarious they have to mix and mingle, there's more bars per person in Spain than almost anywhere in the world... but thy know they have to stay home and they're staying home but they are feeling a sense of high frustration when they can't even buy a packet of screws ( a metaphor) to at least while away the time doing some DIY after being laid off from their jobs.....

Coop people up together who are not used to being cooped up..separate them from their friends, and families, lay them off from their jobs ( ok has to be done) ... but then give them no way of filling the time by being able to take up some kind of hobby.. I think there's going to be a huge rise in either domestic abuse, or Alcoholism...before this thing is finished with us

Are you and hubby considering getting tested?
firstly here we have to have quarantined for at least 7 days after suffering the symptoms ( I have no cough or shortness of breath) hubs has a hacking cough but he vapes heavily (not in the house, so that would account for his bad cough ) he's only been ill for 24 hours, although he absolutely feels like he's dying, and tbf he's as poorly as I was on day one but I had no cough.... secondly however , there are just not enough testing kits for people on the NHS , so we have to pay for our own, almost £800 just to test.. . which we will do if it got to the stage where we thought it warranted it..at the moment I don't believe it's Covid-19 at least I hope it isn't, I think we've both got a bad dose of gastric flu... just a horrible co-incidence it happened right now .

My city is full of pubs too on every corner and they're all shut now.
