Dolly Parton , and Arnold Schwarzenegger both announced today, that they were donating one million dollars for [mainly mask] and perhaps other protective gear .........Thanks & kudos too both.

The owner of the Patriots football team, flew in a million mask ? or maybe a million dollars worth of mask ? from China.......Thanks just the same but.......I don't want a mask from China.

And just something I have noticed........every day on the news, even mid-day updates. Why is there a half dozen or more people telling us [in a news conference] what they have been doing / telling us what to do, and updating us on any positives, and of course negatives......And all the while, they are standing elbow to elbow on a podium ?!.........not one of them wearing any sort of mask.

One of the update new conferences yesterday......the camera man panned the room.......filled with reporters.

Why do they keep telling us about all that we should do, and yet they are carrying on like normal?

I texted a local news channel early on this pandemic when I saw them interviewing people standing next to them and directly in front of them while urging safe distances. Now I see them holding their microphones on the tip of long poles to interview. I'm sure I was not the only one that called it in but it pissed me off to see that.

They all tested negative for the virus? I don’t know, but just a guess.

Likely a good guess.....but....they don't tell us, to get tested, then do this & or that....They just tell us...do it.

Now they are saying...a mask requirement is coming for us,... just to go out in our have to cases?

LOL! ,<shaking my head>......So I speak [& spit] on the microphone, then you speak [& spit] on the microphone , then my turn again......crazy.

The CDC states on their website that anyone 65 or over should stay home. I live in a Pennsylvania. The Governor has us in a stay at home mandate, unless you have a reason to be on the highway. Most can’t even go to work, so they stay home and collect unemployment, plus the $600 a week from the government.

I work in a grocery store part time. I am being told that I must go to work. If I choose to stay home and self quarantine, I don’t get to collect unemployment. Why not? No one can tell me the answer. They did tell me that I am in a life essential job. What about me and my age? If I get the virus, will I survive? The government doesn’t really care.

I was curious and checked this state's website, and that's basically the way it is- a person can't get any help unless they're ready-willing-able to endanger themselves and/or others.
That’s crazy.

I would contact your employer and let them know that you are in an age group that is more susceptible to getting sick from this virus and that it would be in everyone’s best interests if they lay your off so you can get unemployment insurance.
If that doesn’t work I’d call unemployment and tell them that you aren’t safe enough working at the job you once had due to this virus and that forcing you to go there is putting, not only you, but all others at risk if you do so.

How horrible.

I spoke with an agent at UC. They don’t care. They are sticking to the Federal Guidelines. I haven’t yet spoken to my employer. It’s not about the money, really, it’s not. I just want to have a job when the Governor gives the OK.

I make squat compared to the almost $300 per hour that I was paid while flying. I just like my job because it gets me out of the house and around people.

That’s too bad. With the safe distance practices being put in place there’s a good chance you’ll be ok and maybe it will actually be beneficial for you.
Either way , I hope it works out for you. I think men in general have a more difficult time with retirement.
They seem to need something to do. Either that or they desperately want to get away from their wives.
Lol. I suppose we all need a purpose in life and these days a good distraction.

Did you ever think the government cared? I didn’t.

300 dollars an hour? WOW, I mean WOW. There were times where we only made 3000 a year. I am thunderstruck. Obviously being a boots on the ground marine was the wrong career choice. 🤣
