Not much to do, so I'm sitting on my porch in the 60° spring sunshine.

Grass is getting green, daffodils up, tiny leaves coming out on the brush, I've harvested chives from my garden:

What is NYS?

Yes, "NYS" is New York State. I never use "New York" because people who are not from around here think "New York" automatically means New York City -- thinking everything is all concrete and glass, and can't figure out my pictures of woods, lakes, and hills. They don't realize that there's an entire state attached to NYC.

I'm about 350 miles from the cesspool known as New York City. We have a different lifestyle, different culture, different people.

To add to my OP, here we are two days later. Snapped this a couple of hours ago, although it stopped snowing and it all melted within an hour:

Here's a pik (I did not take it) of Canandaigua Lake on a summer morning, looking to the northeast. This spot is about 6-8 miles from me:
