It seems to be all the rage nowadays to take "selfies" and post them online. I have never taken a selfie, and if I ever did, I don't think I would post it online. How about you, are you doing the selfie thing??

I did take a couple of photos of myself with the possibility of choosing one as an avatar for Facebook and forums but.... one look at the results and I immediately deleted them from my camera. ;)

Took one of wife and I at the beach and posted it on FB. We looked really cool standing in front of the waves rolling into the sand.

LOL-I got a job a couple of years ago where all of the interviewing was done over the phone and all of the paperwork was done via the computer. You had to take a "selfie" and send it to them to use for your ID badge. It took me 76 "takes" before I was even remotely satisfied with one to send it in :) I`m not vain at all-I am just NOT photogenic and apparently am even less so when I`m also the photographer :)

I admit to taking selfies of myself from time to time, I have even posted one or two on forums! My poor camera goes into shock each time I do it.:D

I still cant understand why people, especially young ones, post their pictures on the internet and proceed to tell total strangers their real names.
Why not just give them your address too?

can you tell me what worries you about this ..? I have had my face and name on FB and on other forums and i know a few others who have and when we meet up we use real names not made up ones ..

Back in two thousand and five while on a forum in England, I took a selfie and posted it on the forum. It was so bad I disowned it, told everyone it was of a man the police used to train attack dogs. I am not photogenic. But I have a nice mirror sitting here on my desk I glance into periodicly and tell the reflection, "That's alright buddy, just stick a feather in your hair."

I love taking pictures, and have often used pictures on Facebook. I don't usually put out a "selfie" on forums. The one in my avatar now was one I took when I was 57, using my webcam.
Now, I have the iPhone, and I think that makes it easier than trying to pose just right in front of the webcam, and still look at the mouse to click it !

Unfortunately, I am not 57 anymore, and the pictures just don't turn out the same.....

Oh my! I thought he was known worldwide. I am too shy to say anything about him but you could Google him for all the "intimate" details

Just googled him..never heard of him nor his sexually explicit tweets, but what a waste of a career...throwing everything away to upload a sex picture to strangers *sheesh*!!
