Ford Is Closed!

As of Sept 2019 Ford has sold 662,574 truck while Toys sold only 187,622. Case closed. #$^& Toyota!
Hey I didn’t say what I said to make it into a competition. Besides which, you are comparing trucks with cars . 🙄They each have totally different uses and nothing you say or anyone else will change how much I love my Toyota. ❤
Case closed. I didn’t know this was a case. 🤫

Closed, but for what reason? Many times they shut down the line to make model changes, etc.Or is ford completely closed? I'd like to see some facts before jumping to conclusions.

The Ford plant I referred to was closed in early March due to concerns about this virus....they are presently planning to resume production in late May....IF there isn't a flareup in KC with this virus. There is a huge surplus of new vehicles...ALL brands....due to consumer reluctance to spend large amounts of money on a new vehicle in these times of uncertainty. This virus is going to affect nearly all areas of the economy until a solution is found....probably many months from now.

Don't forget unemployment. No job-no new anything.

Toyota, and many others, make great cars, SUV's, and light duty pickups. However, Ford has been the Number One seller of pickups for years, primarily because those who buy a pickup to USE as a pickup generally prefer the Ford/Chevy/Ram brands....as these are MADE for use as working vehicles...rather than occasional use for minor hauling, etc. In the rural area we live in, 95% of the pickups are these major US brands, and it is pretty rare to see a Toyota, or Nissan, etc., being used for much other than going to Walmart.

ROFLMAO! :ROFLMAO:

My husband's comeback to those like yourself, bring your Ford in when I bring my Toyota in, and let's see who fetches the highest trade-in value. ;)

It comes down to quality, not quantity.

You've got to be kidding. The F150 is the best selling pickup of all time. I don't know why the Toyota discussion enters into this thread at all. I drive a Lincoln; does anyone care? (Hint: No, they don't.)

I've owned many different manufacturers of cars, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota, Honda.

I love my Ford F150, my many Toyotas, and my current Honda. BTW - My 2004 camry is still going strong, my 2010 Ford F150 - not so much.

Wake up call - No vehicles are 100% american made. I don't know how many times I've this conversation with family members and friends.

Up until dear husband taught me that, I'd tell everyone, dear husband drives a Toyota, it's made in Japan! LOL!

My husband is going to love this!

His advise to all... Toyota!
I agree. My first new car was a Toyota. It lasted me 11 years before someone totaled it. My car actually didn't look that bad and I didn't think it was totaled, but his big ole car was torn up! If I had gotten another car it would have been a Toyota for sure. I remember once in a bad snow storm, as I made my way home (took me 3:45 minutes to make a 35 minute drive), I saw quite a few big vehicles that were stuck. Not my little (1994) Camry.
Regarding the OP....Wow!!

I was on the phone with a few Ford dealerships looking to custom order a F150 and they told it can't be done because Ford is closed! Wow!
My husband has a F150....
I have had my current F-150 18 yrs, the one before that 15 yrs, before that [a used one] 9 years.

All served me well, requiring only general maintenance .

Then before all that, in my younger years...I bought /sold/traded all sorts of cars/trucks.....just wanted to try different things.
My husband still has his F150 from 1999...

Oh, the Camry's were gorgeous! That's what my parents drove and they, too, swore up and down by it.

For crying out loud, there are hundred of Ford dealerships in this state. Mac Haik is just down the road from where I live and they have dozens and dozens of trucks. If you can't find one you like, that's on you.
