Did Anyone Else Not Get Their Stimulus Check Yet?

I've been checking my bank account a few times a day at least and it's not there yet. I got an email from Social Security that said it should be here in the first part of May. Maybe that means until up to May 15. I don't know.

Anyone else not get theirs yet?

Nope, don't have it yet. High AGI means we're probably at the "back of the line". Fortunately don't need it, although our contractor is going to want a nice big check pretty soon when she schedules our next home remodeling project!

Been saving up for that for several months. One thing about the lockdown, we're not traveling so that's a good chunk of discretionary income saved.
 
I don't understand why some people got theirs right away (like me) and some are still waiting.
I thought there were some issues about who was supposed to get them and who weren't.
I thought I recalled reading something about that in the Washington post. I don't remember the details.
 
We got ours 2 days ago. It will slowly be eaten up by the high prices of food I've been seeing. Last week ground beef was more than double from the week before. Bought split peas for soup instead. Not even a ham bone to flavor it. Thats ok, we will wait it out. We are warm, safe and our bills have been paid. Many people can't say the same.

You and I have the same degree of gratitude.

I can't imagine being in mid-career and having the income faucet turned off with no place to go. I've been laid off before, and went from white collar contract negotiations to cleaning out rental properties in between tenants...and was glad to have that paycheck. People today have no options AND they're stuck at home to brood over it. My heart aches for them.

Regarding beef prices: I've yet to see that herein Virginia. Just checked my Walmart website: 80/20 burger is still under $4/pound. I wonder how long THAT will last. I know some local farmers have seen an uptick in meat business, but the supply chain is lengthened by a bottleneck at approved processing plants.
 
They're probably all coming but, it's likely just slow because of this COVID mess. You know it's possible the place that's having to send all this stimulus money out may be working short of people. A lot of places cut back their staffing to next to nothing.

For example, I called a place online for some assistance one night and I was on hold for 1 & 1/2 hrs and when the poor girl finally got online she apologized and I asked her what was up. She said they had 700 phone lines and 10 employees to cover them all. So just be patient. I'm sure they'll make their way to you. :)

I got mine May 5 and my last name begins with "G"

I don't know what the distribution process is, either. I signed up for a USPS service named "Informed Delivery Daily Digest." I thought I was signing up for enhanced package delivery tracking and notification, but it ended up being an email every morning with pics of every piece of mail that was out for delivery to me that day Apparently they use automated scanning/sorting technology and can send the pics upon request. I've been keeping my eye out for that check, both via that process and via bank notifications of direct deposit.

The check just showed up in my mailbox last week, having bypassed the scanning process that all my other mail goes through. I have no idea if that means anything.
 
I checked my b. account just now and I have gotten the stimulus payment! My adrenaline is pumping! It really surprised me a whole lot because I thought they had forgotten about me or just decided I wasn't getting one for some reason!
