I'm watching on Hulu Plus and only a little more than halfway through season 2. My husband and I had started watching together and he's been gone for 17 months. I finally got back to the show last week. I like the family dynamic. I love Tom Selleck; he's marvelous in the role of Police Commissioner Frank Reagan. What a change from his Magnum PI character. But my favorite character is his son, detective Danny Reagan. All the actors are so believable in their characters. If you've watched, give us your opinion about the show and characters.

LOVE the show. I do not keep up on new episodes, but watch it when it runs on the ION network. But, I am still pretty much caught up on current family events. Dinner table is my favorite part of each episode. All the generations together.
Did you know that Tom Selleck and Len Cariou (his dad) are only a few years apart in age.

Does that mean he's not his real dad?

No I didn't Marie. And I should because I "Wikied" the show today and checked Len Cariou's page to see what else I may have seen him in. Didn't pay attention to his age though.
I haven't seen it. Last thing I saw him in was that Jesse Stone thing. I enjoyed that. Most of the stuff Tom Selleck does is pretty decent.
I was so fascinated with the Jesse Stone character and Tom's portrayal that I wanted more. I managed to see some in the series but not all so I got frustrated and ordered the 2 DVDs, each with 4 episodes. Still missing the last one they shot.

I have enjoyed watching Danny's boys grow up over the years. The eldest is in college..WOW!! And they are real life brothers as well. Wonder what that has been like?
That's a cool tidbit. I didn't know they are really brothers! I have so many episodes to get to before I get to where the older one goes to college.

Love Blue Bloods. I am still upset about Danny's wife leaving the show. She was one of the reasons I liked the show.
I have the T.V. Guide app which updates daily on shows, up coming shows and cast members and I read sometime ago about how she was written off the show. I didn't like that it was done like that and haven't seen the episode yet, but I expect it to tug at my heart strings.

I love Blue Bloods and have watched it from the beginning. I liked Danny's wife also and was sorry she left. I never cared for Tom Selleck in Magnum PI but now he is one of my favorite actors. I look forward to the dinner table scenes as well.
Danny had a partner before the one he has now in the police department and I liked her better. I don't know who she was or why she left.
I'm noticing I like a lot of actors now better than when they were young. Maybe because I am aging also. lol

Tom Selleck was so gorgeous when he starred in Magnum I don't know if I payed attention to the acting back then. LOL I remember he had kind of a goofy voice which he doesn't use now. I enjoy the dinner scenes too, especially when they all have a good laugh together. I love the close family bond that's portrayed. Danny's original partner, actress Jennifer Esposito, left because she had celiac's disease. She needed to reduce her time on the set and the producers decided to write her off rather than try to work around her limited schedule.

I tried watching it when it first began but it just didn't click for me although I do like Tom Selleck, just in other things. I'm not much for series things.

Since so many of you enjoy it, I'll maybe give it a try again.

I've watched an episode of Blue Bloods now and then. We cancelled our Netflex but we never saw it on Netflex. I didn't know any of the characters except Sellect. Was Denny's wife the blond gal? My wifee decides what we watch on the tele so I don't watch much. The computer is mine to play with; the television hrs. What is the jessie Stone thing?

Just occurred to me, Blue Bloods might be on YouTube.

We have watched all the seasons! We are great fans!

I watched a few episodes , and seems that in every damn one i watched ...... He [Seleck] is helping an old friend [perhaps another senior officer] with a drinking problem. Or his son [Danny] ... or other members of the family, has a friend with a drinking problem, and they are always trying to set them straight , and save their job, etc, etc.

And yet, in damn near every episode ..... the family is sitting around at Sunday dinner ...... drinking wine. Then after dinner, Seleck & G/pa & sometimes the older daughter all settle in the living room for a round or two of Scotch . And if that's not enough , he Seleck the police commissioner keeps a bottle in his desk !

No thanks ......... to much hypocrisy.

I liked Seleck in the Jessie Stone series ...... but lost allot respect for him , when he started selling reverse mortgages .

I had stopped watching for awhile, then a couple of months ago, went back to binging. I think there were 142 or 149 episodes when I started back on Hulu. I finished those and now I'm in S12 on Paramount+ (Hulu ended with S9) and have about 31 episodes to go. I was hoping S14 will have started by the time I finish S13 but with the writer's/actor's strike, I doubt that will happen.

I think most of the actors, even guests were excellent in their parts. I'm definitely loving Frank and Danny Regan. I also like Baez better as Danny's partner than the first one he had. I read that four of the characters won't be back, including Bailey and Garret.

Just watched an old episode from Season 6. Always enjoy it. If any of the readers are Tom Selleck fans, I particularly enjoy his Jesse Stone movies. Very entertaining. I believe there were at least 9 in the series — best watched in order.

I loved him in Jesse Stone too. It was the first time I'd seen him play such a serious character and I was intrigued. I watched some of the movies when I could find them, then finally broke down and bought the two DVD set. But I'm missing the very last in the franchise. I also haven't finished watching all eight movies.

I love it too. I can watch it over and over.

I've never watched this show, probably since it was up against Bill Maher, but I do believe I'll get around to it; like the cast; like cop shows; like NYC background. I don't watch enough TV anymore; there's so much to watch I end up watching very little. I'm overwhelmed!
