What is the item, which you've owned the longest?

I came out of the US Navy in 1972, and settled in Queens, NYC. I bought some Oreo cookies, and there was a coupon for a free cookie jar. So I sent away for it. Then this really nice, free cookie jar arrived. I've had it since. Strangely, the cookie jar became a 'collectable'. People were selling them for $100 on eBay, But then some company in China began selling replicas by the truckload, and the price fell to $15. There is a way to tell the originals from the knock offs , and the price rebounded to $50.

Yes I have my daughters' Baby tags too. and her arm band , ... that's 44 years

I've got my mums' wedding ring which came to me when she died when I was 18 so that's coming up to 47 years

..the oldest thing that I've owned from new and still have to this day is my Sunday School Bible from around 1965... which is probably around 55 years old now..

I've got my baby shoes and newborn ID bracelet, and bible I had as a 5 year old.
One of my most precious possessions besides my dads medals, is the 45 cal. pistol he carried in world war II.
The one thing I can think of that I've had since new would be my 1/2" drive electric impact wrench. 48 years old and not only does it still work just fine, it still has the original brushes in it. 😲 :)

The OP got me thinking...I have an old Wakouwa dog "push toy" that someone gave me when I was a small child....it's still in great shape, and I have it on a cabinet in my computer room. These date back to the 1930's, and mine still has the manufacturers info, readable, on the bottom....made in the USA, and Patent Applied For. Sometime, years later, these toys began to be made in Switzerland, so mine may be the better part of 80+ years old. Here's an example I found on EBAY....mine might be worth far more.

In my family,my dad's silver ring he never took off until he died in 1996,my mom's ID bracelet she wore while in high school

It appears the oldest thing I have now is a camera and some lens from the 1970s.

Old camera bag from 1976.

This camera was a gift in the summer of 1977.

Lens on the left is a Olympis 70-135, a very good lens,The Vivatar lens in the center is a 1 to 1
Macro lens. Those two were my favorities. The small 35mm on the right is from J.C. Pennys in
1978. I have a 70 to 200 in a sock drawer. It came with the camera. I guess these are the oldest
things I now own. More or less useless, like their owner.

I may be overly sentimental or a hoarder because I have many old things. I have a doll from my childhood, an initial ring my parents bought me when I was in 2nd grade an ashtray from the hotel where I spent my honeymoon and many things my Mom had in her house. I probably have more older things than newer things.

My Tiny Tears doll from 1955-57 (can`t remember for sure how old I was when I got her for Christmas). She does not have her original dress or sunsuit-darn-sure wish I had hung onto those as well!View attachment 104674
