I drove out to my home town, Batavia NY and did just that. I brought a flag to place on the grave of my uncle who was a vet, and flowers on my aunt's grave (uncles wife). She just passed last week, and as her service was immediate family only, I could not attend

Hubby and I will be staying home,missing our children and grandchildren.

Regular chores, wash a load of dark clothes (because that is on my schedule), behave myself and do some reading (The Nightingale). I doubt that we will go anywhere this year.

I am a retired Navy Officer and will display the flag on our front lawn. I am named after an uncle who died after returning to the states from the effects of mustard gas in WW I.
