How many pounds have you put on?

During the lockdown a few comfort foods have come back on the menu I allow myself to eat, including foods I generally know I must avoid, such as chocolate and cake, (ice cream has made a reappearance too!).

As a result in the last two or so months quite a few pounds have piled on, and my pants are tighter, my shirts don't button so well, and even my gumboots are very difficult to put on! Its not a good look, and of course you feel worse, and can't walk as fast etc.

I think I've beaten my previous top weight, two stones up on where I know I start to move around with less effort, although maybe my weight was already on the way up before the lockdown. I reckon therefore I've definitely put on twenty pounds, and as a result I've bought myself a set of scales to monitor my weight, (I used to rely on a mates set, when he delighted in telling me how fat I'd become!).

There we are, confession time, but of course be as vague as you like, or don't reveal anything if you don't wish to, but its the change to steamed vegetables, reduced sweet foods diet for me, that usually allows me to get off about a stone before the will to stick to it subsides a little.😡🥵🤒

None due to the pandemic, as I still have baby weight I haven't been able to shed fro years ago, but I'm hoping now with the gardening season in full-swing, I'll be able to start getting out on a regular basis and burning a little fat here and there.

I haven't gained any weight. I lost 4 lbs. now 166. :)
I would like to snack on cookies & chips, but that wouldn't be smart with diabetes because I'd need more insulin & that would cause weight gain.

I've lost one whole pound. I was a little surprised because I've lost my appetite a little bit. Thought I might have lost more than that. I just don't want any heavy food right now. Very little meat and I'm so sick of salads. If I could live on a liquid diet, I'd go for it.

Since my surgery last week, I am not hungry. I try to eat a piece of toast and a little milk to take my meds. At night a little bowl of watermelon chunks to take the night meds. Also have some slim fast and cold water in the fridge to snack on. I will probably be gaining weight when the effects of the surgery wear off.

How have you been feeling since your surgery?
Do you have anyone helping you out? Are able to get up and about? I hope you’re doing better.

Have you just had a baby, a year ago or so? :giggle:.
Oh congratulations, boy or girl, and the chosen a name is, (let's hope the baby enjoys being carried around in the pappous while you're gardening, if they're not yet walking? ;) ).

No gain at this time, down 12 lbs, thanks to the wood pile. Diet not really just trying real hard to eat the right stuff. This means healthy normal food, yeah I know define normal. Depends on you and your normal.
Yeah, since moving back to the cabin, I've lost 10 lbs
Not even from chopping wood, just chores
I do eat less out here, mainly because if I eat too much when working, I tend to drink too much water.
So, I just eat 'til I'm not hungry

With Spring/Summer weather here, I have so much outdoor work to do that I shed pounds almost faster than I can put them on. Most days, I barely stop for any lunch....might ask my wife make me a quick sandwich, then back to work.
