During the lockdown a few comfort foods have come back on the menu I allow myself to eat, including foods I generally know I must avoid, such as chocolate and cake, (ice cream has made a reappearance too!).
As a result in the last two or so months quite a few pounds have piled on, and my pants are tighter, my shirts don't button so well, and even my gumboots are very difficult to put on! Its not a good look, and of course you feel worse, and can't walk as fast etc.
I think I've beaten my previous top weight, two stones up on where I know I start to move around with less effort, although maybe my weight was already on the way up before the lockdown. I reckon therefore I've definitely put on twenty pounds, and as a result I've bought myself a set of scales to monitor my weight, (I used to rely on a mates set, when he delighted in telling me how fat I'd become!).
There we are, confession time, but of course be as vague as you like, or don't reveal anything if you don't wish to, but its the change to steamed vegetables, reduced sweet foods diet for me, that usually allows me to get off about a stone before the will to stick to it subsides a little.
