Which of these services would you most likely want if someone offered to pay for it?

I would like very basic lawn and maintenance care. Cutting the grass, trimming and leaf removal in the fall, all because I would have more time to putter around in my yard and garden. Sometimes by the time I trim, and weed I'm to tired to enjoy my garden and flowers. My son cuts the grass and sometimes trims but I'm sure he would like to have the extra time also.
Leaves are a big problem. The town won't pick them up,can't burn them and to many to rake. Part of my garden is just for leaves now.

I do most everything outside... lawn cutting, gardening, etc, and while I am still very able, I can see myself slowing down in the future, and so having someone come by once a week to cut and trim, would leave with more time to weed and enjoy the gardening part.

That's me, too, Ruth. I know exactly the feeling.

All of 'em. I'm in a wheel chair. And I'm willing to pay for them, now. I love it when some say get a neighborhood kid, and pay them. First FIND a kid willing to do that. And then read up on the legal liabilty in hiring a kid. Scary. And professional people don't want to mess around with such a small job.

I picked up an idea from my mom when she was on her own and needed to hire help for certain jobs: You can negotiate with the people you want to hire. I have a lawn care service that cuts my grass every other Monday for $50 a month. When I need help with indoor cleaning, I'll remember that she had someone from Molly Maids come in twice a month to clean her bathtub and mop her kitchen. She was able to do the rest. It doesn't have to be 'all or nothing'. If you need help, call some of these people up and see what you can work out. (y):sneaky:

I do all our lawn and garden maintenance and enjoy the work. We have a riding tractor with a mulcher. The windows, deck and exterior cleaning, driveway maintenance is done by me.

Chauffeur ? 🤔😂 No! I’m usually home and enjoy driving myself.

Maid? No way. I don’t want anyone cleaning our house. If it gets to be too much for us later on , we will have to downsize or possibly consider hiring someone for some chores. Need to be more open.

You're absolutely right about trying finding a kid to do any of theses things, if you do, they want a extra short hours, and big fees.

That's a bargain! When I got estimates 2 years ago, the lest expensive said $50 for the front lawn and if I wanted the back yard done at the same time, he'd throw it in for an extra $40 - that's for EACH TIME. One guy wanted $500, but that included trimming the hedge. I told my aunt who recommended him an she said he was worth every penny. I still think that was steep. Do they think old ladies are stupid? For 25¢ of gas and 45 minutes of my time, I can do it myself!

Till you're not able to anymore.

Outside windows....Heavy work outside....I hate mowing grass, but it does give me exercise.... one in a while, maybe for a break.... a chauffeur would be nice sometimes....Interior, tops of cupboards and top of walls....Someone to make meals sometimes....Better quit now, shouldn't be to demanding. :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:
