I do that sometimes, too. It makes the house smell soooo good!I love simmering cinnamon sticks along with a few cloves on the stovetop. Absolutely heavenly.
Does it ever! And it lasts for days...I do that sometimes, too. It makes the house smell soooo good!
I rarely burn scented candles or use potpourri. Only if someone gives them as gifts, and only then if they smell like food. Pumpkin pie, apple cinnamon, etc. Most floral scents smell very artificial to me. My house is neutral scented so I'm not looking to cover anything up.Does it ever! And it lasts for days...
WAY better (and more frugal) than any store-bought potpourri that I've ever tried.
I burn scented candles from fall until spring, and always cinnamon, hazelnut, and pumpkin & spice, no floral... and like yourself, I prefer a neutral smelling house, too, but do love a little kick-me-up every now and then, and that's where the simmering of cinnamon sticks comes into play.I rarely burn scented candles or use potpourri. Doesn't it stain or make a terrible mess?
