Are you finding everything you need at the grocery store?

I had not been to the grocery store in about 4 weeks. I was terrified of going because there are so many people. I finally went to the grocery store on Friday because my poor hubby doesn't buy the essentials. I was pleasantly surprised to see 90% of the shelves fully stocked; it made me happy to see it stocked. I found everything on my list plus more. I'm surprised I got what I did without a grocery list. How are your experiences where you live? But the best part was that everyone was wearing masks.

No problems , in fact things have been pretty well OK for a couple of months after the panic buying ended. The main problem is buying some simple items like herbs & spices, or lasagne sheets. The shelves seem to be stuffed with goods for people who think that cooking means heating a ready meal in a microwave. Some stores are much better than others but you simply can't get everything in one place.

If going in the store makes you nervous, why don't you try pickup or delivery. I've been doing the pickup thing for a while now. You pick out what you want online and then go pick them at a separate pickup entrance. You don't have to get out of your car.

I just started grocery shopping on my own again. It was nearly 11 mos. since I've grocery shopped. I now have a car again so off I go!

Yes, I've found everything on my list and more! And there was no line to wait in and very few customers on Fri. morning which I'm grateful for.

Same here. I started doing delivery last week because I'd been having such a time with my lungs. I actually like the delivery better. It costs more but it's so much faster & I don't have to tax my lungs dragging all that crap from the car.

With so many people opting for home delivery these days, I enjoy my early morning visits to the grocery store. There are hardly any customers around.
I get in and out quickly. .. can't always find exactly what I want, but no major issues so far.

Haven't been to the store in a couple of months or more. Our daughter or grandkids do the shopping for us, in fact she's picking up our groceries (and hers) as I type this. She says that the stores are pretty well stocked now.

My shopping lately consisted of picking up some prescriptions at the pharmacy drive thru and gassing up the car.

Admittedly I haven't thought of checking for tissue (t.p.) at the grocery store in months, as I had two large packs, but was grateful to find it stocked-in at the convenience store.

The only items I've not been able to find are fresh meats. Since the virus made itself known in this area I only bought raw meat twice- and neither was 'fresh.'
I'd really like a nice pot roast, or something with chicken (like Marie's recipe in the Foods section :) ) but I'm not risking more spoiled meat.

Not here, I went at 7:30 a.m.; they opened at 7 a.m. and it was packed!

Everything is pretty much back to normal now, we can get just about everything we need again on the shelves... supermarkets and all other stores are running as normal..exception being that there are plexi glass creens at the checkouts ..even the one way systems that were put in place during lockdown in the supermarkets has now been removed in most stores.

I'm finding most of the necessities, but there are some foods that I haven't been able to buy in a few months.
I sometimes can't get the brands and type items I prefer in cleaning supplies, soaps, and paper products.
Since I'm on a low carb, low sugar diet, there are some speciality foods that I indulge in to keep my weight loss on track. Some of those are in short supply. Gluten free french bread, Asian chicken, and some gluten free pastas come to mind. I will appreciate them that much more when they do become available again.

Things returning to normal, in a way. I still see lots of empty shelves on cleaning supplies and some paper goods. Meats were low for a while, but seem better now, though the store posts signs letting us know prices will be higher at this time

Nathan's Frozen French Fries are almost impossible to get and this week the store was out of my swiss cheese brand which is causing me great distress!

You have to be careful when buying wipes and hand sanitizers. Some say kills 99% bacteria but do not mention viruses. I was fooled early on and bought some of those, now I am very careful. They costs a fortune so wa t to make sure I get the ones for viruses as well.
