I'd be falling up and down those stairs on a regular basis. Assuming it's real and not photo shopped, good luck to the owner who eventually tries to that house.

Anyone having trouble putting one foot in front of the other.........should avoid these stairs.
An accident waiting to happen.

Ok, now my head is spinning.some more to land you on your head ! ....
I think Bonnie, is right, stair accidents are deadly as it is, and I just can't see this as being real, and if it is, the homeowners would have to tear-out and replace the stairs with stairs that pass the building code before they could list the home on the market.

Those stairs are common in ships and places like Dutch canal houses. They allow a longer "rise" in a shorter footprint.

They must pass code in Maine at least because the Maine Cabin Masters people have put them in some of the cabins they've renovated and they do everything to code.

Are they kidding. I have enough trouble going up steps of any kind. That's why me and my husband liked the house we just bought a year ago because it has a stair lift going down to our basement.

Those are interesting stairs. I'd want to try them out. I wouldn't want to put them into my house if I had two floors, but if I were considering purchasing that house it wouldn't completely put me off. Our little dogs would probably have to zig-zag their way up and down the stairs.
