I can stand it up to about 77 then I put the air conditioning on. It is 81 in here now and I'm feeling too hot and fatigue but I am listening to music and can't hear it well with the AC on so I will tolerate this for a bit longer.

So, how about you:

Probably around that. I don't look at the thermostat much, but when I start to break out in perspiration and cold drinks don't help the AC goes on. I heard a meteorologist say today that this is shaping up to be the hottest summer on record! It is where I live for sure.

Yes it's been a very hot summer that's for sure.

I have room ACs, it gets up to 85 when it’s a100 plus outside. I get terribly uncomfortable but it’s cooler than outside.

LOL'ing as soon as I read the title.
Ever since I lost the last 25 lbs, I'm cold whenever it's under 83 degrees. I used to dread Summer; now I dread Winter.
I only use the air conditioner when I have company.
I just checked the temp in the upstairs Living Room: 95 & I'm quite comfortable. The outside temp. is 107. :)

That sounds good to me. My husband usually has the small bedroom air conditioner going in summer, so if it gets too hot in the house, I can always spend a few minutes in the bedroom to cool off.

Luckily, we have some shade from trees we planted when we bought the house, and our double pane windows and siding also help to keep out heat and cold in winter. My husband likes it warmer than I do in the house, but I run hot and can't tolerate too much heat.

Mid 80s if it's not too humid. Humidity knocks it back to high 70s. But I do like it around 73 at bedtime.

Ouch! We've had a cooler than usual summer thankfully, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to have an early fall!

In the winter I have the thermostat turned off since we just use wood for fuel and I’m perfectly happy with it at 18 degrees Celsius. Right now it’s 28 degrees which is too warm so I sleep in the basement where it’s cooler and there’s a ceiling fan. We don’t have central air.

Those trees that bring shade a great aren't they? My bedroom gets some shade from a big tree back there but it still gets pretty hot in my bedroom as I don't have air conditioning in there only in the living room and it does cool the bedroom off a little bit.

What? 95? That would drive me nuts. That’s sauna temperature.

I'm not sure what those temperatures are in Fahrenheit but I believe you.

We let the temperature rise to 75F during the day and then take it down to 71F at night. My wife tends to naturally be hot, and I, ... well right now I am dealing with hot flashes because of this hormone treatment. I can stand it up to about 78F.

The older couple across the street keep their temp at 68F. He wears a wool sweater when he inside and sheds it immediately when he steps outside in our summer heat. I generally forget to wear a sweatshirt when I have to go over there.

90 is about the highest i can take.comfortably. Take a lot of COLD showers this time of year.
Wow, I couldn't stand 90! But to each his/her own. Good for you! I could save some money on electric if I felt that way. lol

95 and comfortable; more power to you! I dread this Winter as I get so very chilled.

Hot flashes sound hard on you...wish there was something that could help you with those.

Ruthanne, Thanks, I wish there was too, but the herbs that work for women don't work for men. So I just have to ride it out, which I can do,... but I do have to complain from time-to-time, and you ladies are the only ones who understand. Complaining to men LOL doesn't quite get it.

But I do appreciate the encouragement I get on this forum. Thanks.

Quick conversion estimate for Celsius to Fahrenheit. That you can do in your head.

Take the C and multiply by two and add 30.
Not one hundred accurate conversion but close enough.
18 x 2=36 +30= 66F

When it comes to temperature can anyone feel one or two degrees different than actual?

I like warm temperatures so I'm still comfortable at 85 or so. I don't have air conditioning. Just a ceiling and window fan.
Winter for me is an exercise in survival tactics. Low humidity. Always cold unless I get the humidity up.
