One biggest change from early days

Homemade pizza is probably way better. I'm just lazy. 😁

I've never had a homemade pizza that's as good as many pizzas from pizza shops or Italian restaurants. I think there's something about the pizza oven, the temperature or something else that makes the pizzas taste different somehow. I have however had pizzas from shops or restaurants that have tasted worse than some of the homemade pizzas I've had. However it is unusual for that to happen in my experience.

My homemade pizza kicks on every pizza I've ever had, pizza shops and Italian restaurants included, and not anywhere near as oily/greasy.

Yes, I dislike thin pizza crust.

Sometimes I'll buy pre-made pizza crusts, which are tasty as well.

What about yourself, Phoenix? Thin, thick, homemade, rising crust?
I make my own thick crust using yeast as the leavening agent. The recipe is from a foccacia pizza recipe an old woman gave me years ago. It's wonderful. I even made a loaf of bread from the recipe.

When I was in NY one year my friend took me to the first pizza place in the village there and it was like cardboard box with sauce and cheese. The Pizza Hut in White Plains was the best I ever had in my life. If I had the time and motivation I'd much rather make homemade mostly because of the amount of grease on restaurant pizza but I agree about that pizza oven flavor.

When I get pizza from Pizza Hut I'd prefer the thin crust but they get it so dark and hard I can't hardly chew it. That's what I don't like. They overbake everything.

I don't know what it is about Pizza Hut where we live, but their pizzas are always soaking wet with oil.

Part of it's because of the cheese and that canned sauce...but I think that crap they brush the crust with makes it worse.

Terrible, and I find bought pizzas, either store-bought or restaurant pizza never has anywhere near enough sauce on them. I slather mine with tons of sauce! Delicious!

For police, we no longer have to call in license plates and driver's license numbers for verification. No more 'writing' citations. Everything is now computer generated. Saves a lot of time.

So if you're checking someone out how does that work if you aren't calling it in?

yes but they still have to input the information was what I meant. sorry. They're just saved the step of having to call it in and wait for someone else to do it which is great.
In some cases, we don't even have to do that. If I take your driver's license, I can scan it into the system and have an answer in less than a minute in most cases. Also, some of our vehicles have license plate scanners on them on the outside and in dash cameras on the inside that will scan your plate as you go by or as I pass you on the road or in a parking lot and if the tag or car is stolen or there is a warrant out for the owner of the car, the computer will alert me immediately. If you ever see a cop just casually driving through a parking lot at a mall on other set of stores, he may be scanning plates.

Some of our vehicles also have facial recognition technology (FRT or as we call it, fart (lol)) built into the dash and body cameras. That's all I can say about that.

What about when you needed to make a phone call before cell was invented??
You can not find one today!!

I was surprised the first time I went for a walk here. This phone booth is right next to the police station and is still there. Not sure if it works or not because I never saw anybody using it. Of course, it is not a booth you can go into.
