"Lonesome Dove" ...my favorite book and loved the mini series. I forgot about "The Grey Fox".

"The Wild Bunch"
Does "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" count ?
"Red River"
"HIgh Noon"


There are others but those came to my mind first.

I took this as movies about the old West and not old Western movies if that makes sense.

Gunsmoke...well that was a tv show but one of my favorites. My mom loved her Western shows.

hey, Could you tell me what "I am your Huckleberry" means? Is that from Tombstone? Someone said that to me and i didn't know what it means.

I'm your huckleberry 19th century slang which was popularized more recently by the movie Tombstone. Means "I'm the man you're looking for". Nowdays it's usually used as a response to a threat or challenge, as in the movie.

Hopefully the one with Lee Marvin, far superior to not Tom (come on buy your reverse mortgage here, I need another million $)) Selleck.

There are too many good westerns, can't keep them all in your memory=thanks gar
