I have trouble reaching items on the top shelf at the grocery store, I would find it useful to have a mini reacher grabber, but I haven't seen one advertised -- I see folding ones on Amazon but they are regular size and only fold to 16 inches, and I'm thinking more like a shorter than normal grabber that telescopes or folds down to purse size. Anyone know where I could get one?
Does anyone know of a "travel size" reacher-grabber?

That sounds like a wonderful idea, Honeynut. I did google "grabbers" and found the same thing that you probably did. They only go down to 16 inches. We should suggest this idea to the manufacturers.
Currently, my method for reaching stuff on the top shelf consists of finding a friendly-looking tall sales clerk.

this one is in a UK store.. it's foldable ..and it's full length is 65 cm which means the foldable length is around 12 inches...

I consider myself an itinerant reacher-grabber. At least half the time when I am in a supermarket, a shorter lady will ask me to reach an item on a high shelf, or nestled deeply within a shelf. I gladly fetch the desired item, making the requester happy while giving myself a sense of having been helpful, which can make my day. It's a win-win scenario, really...
