Would Knocking A Woman's Wig Off Be Considered An Assault?

It's now an A&B if you spit on someone so she might have a good case against him....he probably did touch her head or scalp with that cane....
she set that guy up for a court date on purpose even tho she was in the wrong shopping during senior hours, which there's no law against that I know of....the whole incident would've had everyone witnessing this in hysterics including me :ROFLMAO:

Pops. I think that's great about a case for A&B over someone choosing to spit on someone.

I absolutely agree with an A&B charge moving forward in such a case.

The early hours are also for healthcare workers, docs, ICU staff, nurses and etc.

Ms. Wig-Hat jumped the line and could have caused a critical care worker to be late. If that were the case, I'd say the man did a favor to society. IMO, this scenario is no more far-fetched than calling assault and battery by lifting her wig.

If she brought this to civil court for damages, the judge may very well deem it a frivolous lawsuit, after rolling in the aisle laughing.

I beg to differ with you, RR.

IMO, the actions of the man with the cane sits right up there if one were to poke another person in the thigh or slap someone on the back of their legs with a cane, it's wrong.

My guess is, if the woman in question decided to press the issue, an assault charge may not apply, but I strongly suspect a common mischief or misdemeanour charge would definitely be in order.

People should know better, they need to learn to keep their hands to themselves (extending to canes, umbrellas, etc).

As an adjusted society, it's unacceptable to poke, prod, or violate another person with an object, and further more, my advice to any/all... mind your own business. It wasn't a life and death situation, so those outside of, and not tied to the unfolding should have carried on going about their own business.

The cane man should count his blessings that the woman didn't have a man with her. Most men I know wouldn't have stood-by and watched this unfold without stepping in.

Hmmm....... I once knew a bloke who had an extra ear ontop of his head, so he always wore a wig to hide it, trouble was, he had a reputation for eavesdropping peoples conversations........perhaps that's why he had the nickname.......'earwigger'. ;) 😊

Oh phooey, Marg.

BTW- Stepping in? To do what? Yes, escalate- that's the ticket.

I'm going home to flip my own wig.

This sounds like a case for Judge Judy. Though I think she deals with only civil cases, and this would be a criminal assault case, right?

IMO it's simple assault and I would want to see the man prosecuted if it happened to me.
I agree it's a simple assault, and I would want the man with the cane prosecuted too, that was uncalled for and some injury could have occurred with the cane. But, I'd never be so sleazy as to sneak into a store during senior hours with a gray wig on. She should just be ashamed of herself and learn a lesson from this.

If I was just in a store wearing a wig for vanity reasons or because I was being treated for cancer and somebody did that to me, I'd be furious!

At some point there has to be a line drawn in the sand between what's actually harmful and what's BS. And being called out on BS is not assault. At some point people need to realize they can't just do whatever the hell they want. But people think their so frickin entitled to do whatever they want and say whatever they want with no consequences.

I'd be handing him his teeth.

The line is when someone puts their hands on someone. Even worse when they put an object on someone.
