Are you ......ding out how ba ..ome phones ar ?

My doc's office called to reschedule an appointment, her phone kept cutting off, and there was an annoying echo. It was really hard to understand what was said. I had to call the pharmacy, same thing with the phone. I called in an order, and had to give my credit card number. I had to keep repeating it over and over, because their 10 cent phone kept cutting out. OK, I'm 74, so I can no longer hear fleas mating, but my hearing isn't that bad. I keep running into these cheap sounding phone systems, where you have to repeat over and over. So is it me, or are you finding there's a lot of cheap, crappy phones out there? And it irks me when I talk............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................and there's a long pause to get a response.

My biggest problem is when we try to talk over each other.

I never thought that I would say it but it's actually easier for me to exchange texts so I can get my thoughts out without being interrupted by the person on the other end.

I can't be of any help about cell phones because I don't have one I use my landline because I really can't hear well on my husband's cell phone. If I have to talk to someone on his phone he has to put it on speaker so I can hear it better

@fuzzybuddy Three bad phone calls would have me thinking that my phone is the problem. Or there’s a problem with the telephone lines.

My biggest problem is when we try to talk over each other.
A side effect of Covid. My very social friend is so busy talking that she can’t wait for me to reply.

not just my opinion but a fact. people, especially younger people talk WAY too fast. not only fast but mumbly.

i rarely answer home phone. but when i do... if person is mumbling or "speed speaking", i have stopped and asked for a slow down with clear speaking.

and SLOW down when leaving a message. if i need to return that call and have to listen to your msg 4-5 time to get the number... i'm not happy.
