the sci-fi channel does a marathon all day today into tomorrow. i think i was probably about 12 when it was one of the most popular shows on TV. my dad didn't care for TZ... and it was his TV after all (not like today, huh?). i would walk 4 houses up the street to watch with my best friend. there were many times when i seem to recall us clinging to each other in fear. of course, it was DARK for that loonnngggg walk home & it often ended in a sprint!

if you watch the marathon or just watched the show back in the 60's... any favorites?

Just about ALL of them were my favorites. I have every single episode on DVD - including one season where they were 1-hr. episodes. Many big stars got their big break on that show & up & coming actors and writers quickly learned what being on it would do for their careers. A book that was included with Season 1 had the show's history, Rod Serling's career from the start, etc.

the guy who played Officer Paul ??? in "The Green Mile" was in one. i think he looked just as old back in the 60's as he did in 1999.

the episode about little men from outer space with Agnes Morehead had me RUNNING all the way home.

"The Twilight Zone" and "The Outer Limits" were my two favorite shows of the era, and were intelligent, thoughtful, and well-written and acted. Rod Serling was iconic!
