Car Drivers-Criminals want you and/or your car including bicyclers.

I would have supported it 100%.

If it had been me behind the wheel of that vehicle and someone was trying to break the side windows to get at me, I would exercise any and all means available for me to get myself, as well as my loved ones out of harm's way, and if that meant running over gang members in front, then that's exactly what I would do.

My husband watched the video with me and he said had he been behind the wheel of the vehicle, he would of used the vehicle as a weapon and ran over as many of the bicycle gang as he could have, even going as far as chasing down the gang members one at a time to finish them off.

The members of that bicycle gang are scum, and I hope karma catches up with them.

Of course I agree with you, & your husband, and the actions you state you would have taken. However, if in reality it was you, and you responded as you suggest. IMO you very likely would have been arrested & looking at prosecution . Particularly if your actions were caught on video.
That is [again] IMO, the reality of the world we live in today.

I

There are plenty of problems in policing and in the criminal justice system. A sensible approach to law and order would address these while supporting the legitimate authority of police and the judicial system.
I am at a loss as to understand your entry, JimBob.

Supporting authority of police and the judicial system has nothing to do with what transpired in the video.

If those in police forces feel so hard done by over the fact that the general public grew sick and tired of witnessing corruption along with dastardly acts and deeds representative of police forces, and for once the general public finally stood up for themselves, then those whining, sniveling, watery-eyed and runny nosed officers who can't accept the fact should get out of the force and make way for real officers to replace them, officers who are going to uphold the law, fight crime, and all while respecting the general public and peoples fundamental rights.

While I'm not the betting type, my guess is, and reflecting upon the video footage as shown, had the driver of that vehicle drove over members of the bicycle gang who were in the way of his or her escape route, I'd be willing to bet that no charges would be brought forth, and if charges were brought forth and I was the driver of the vehicle, I would gladly accept them knowing I helped cleanse the streets of filth.

The evidence is clear as day, the driver was in danger of being beaten, robbed, or worse. I'm disappointed that the driver didn't take a more proactive approach and run a few of the bicycle gang over.

Types of car doesn't matter and many thugs know many high end cars can be leased and/or insurance will pay for it. They see a victim in car/suv or in something they don't have. I saw where the vehicle even had doctor plates on it since the drivers father was an MD. This was a bike mob attack on driver.

Crime, of all types, seems to be going up in most of the cities. The combination of the high unemployment, and the restrictions put in place to slow down this virus, is driving more and more people over the edge. It has reached the point where a person has to be very watchful where they are, and take extra precautions to insure that they don't become a target.

I agree that we all need to be aware of our surroundings and be prepared to protect ourselves as best we can.

The thing that I wrestle with is the world becoming more dangerous or just smaller. It seems like today we are bombarded with all sorts of sensationalized stories of odd crimes that we never heard about before the internet brought them into our homes 24/7.

RE Car Jackings
Have read a couple of reports over the last couple of weeks of cars being stolen/jacked with the perp luring the victim with a dating app. There is a recent incident in Michigan and then read of a tragic hit & run in San Francisco in which the driver lured the victim with a dating app as well then killing 2 with the stolen car.
