And she doesn't buy anything new. All I can say is WTH?!?! What do you think of this?
"A woman who claims to be the 'world's cheapest multi-millionaire' has said she never spends a penny more than she has to and even eats cat food to keep her bills low. With a net worth of some £3.9million ($5.3m) Aimee Elizabeth says she refuses to go a single penny over her £730, or $1,000 monthly budget."

Very sad!

It reminds me of Hetty Green the Witch of Wall Street.

A relative of mine managed an apartment building in Seattle. One of the tenants was a woman in her mid nineties who went through the dumpster every day and pulled out food that she ate. Other tenants routinely left prepared meals outside her door.

When she passed, they found over $90,000 in cash stuffed all over the apartment and learned that she was worth well over $1,5 million. Even her relatives had no idea that she had accumulated that much money.

She was a likeable old gal and I met her myself during one visit.

This may well be some kind of mental illness.

I heard about another cheap woman who was worth over a million in the late 1890's I think.... let her own son die of an infection developed from a sliver rather than pay a doctor.
ABSOLUTELY agree. This type of frugality isn’t a normal type of cheapness but some form of OCD. ( in my opinion ) It’s extremely sad that some people put money and material objects above and beyond anything else including family, friends and even their own happiness.

I think it's moronic, and that's being polite.

Coo-coo... coo-coo... coo-coo...

HA! I had a cheapskate brother who died last October. He wouldn't get a haircut nor would he go out for coffee. Both just too expensive. Wore the same dirty clothes week after week. Never went on a holiday in his life except short trips to visit brother in Ontario when he was younger. When he "kicked the bucket" his executor found $5,800 in cash stuffed into his easy chair. In the bank he had well over $300,000. Those who posted & quoted mental sickness got it right! People like that don't impress me. I figure, "You can't take it with you when you go" so you might as well enjoy it here while you still can. Amen!

Most mental disorders don’t make sense.
That’s why they are called mental illness and making fun of someone with mental disorders is the same as making fun of someone with diabetes or high blood pressure.
That’s being polite.
"Mental illness" today, is the puff of smoke I see society hiding behind and using as a standing excuse for everything, and it just doesn't wash with me.

Maybe Aimee Elizabeth, can buy herself some Purina Puppy-Chow to go along with her cat food.

It's not mental illness, being able to rationalize in her way of thinking regarding spending, it's called acting stupid and being cheap.

I choose to agree to disagree. Neither one of my relatives were stupid. They were both highly intelligent people. I’m not a psychologist but they clearly had mental issues, not to the point of eating cat food but enough that their thinking was seriously distorted. It has nothing to do with intelligence. Some of the most genius people in the world are somewhat insane.

If these Millionaires have mental illnesses requiring meds they are prob to mean to buy the
meds.
My daughter has a cat it costs her allot to feed him cause he’s real fussy what he eats ..,no home brands for him .

I see to many mental health excuses being put forward for committing crimes now days ,once it was sorry I was drunk ...now it’s I’ve got a mental illness so that’s my excuse to get away with murder .

I lived in the same house (seperate living area ) with one of these millionaires for 12 years ( no relationship ) he was one of the biggest land owners in the district farming sheep 🐑 and cereal growing
(not where I live now )

He had a triple heart bypass and was told to retire, but he continued to work all night plowing the paddocks ect while his son worked during the day it was a 24 hour around the clock work place .

I was a single mum so I got free rent that enabled me to save $ $ buy my own home
I worked cooking / cleaning ect for NO $$ just to get on my feet at the time
i was 29 years old when I took that job on .. and i was still there when I met my husband when I was 40

After I left there he met and married a lady cause no one would have been silly enough to do what I did for free .
He died in a paddock at 3 am in the morning while driving a huge tractor / seeder while sowing wheat . His wife was not left a single cent ... ......not even the house they were living in.

He would insist on eating rabbit 99 ways he caught in his property or eggs cause he had plenty
of chickens and if and when he killed sheep for food he’d insist o eating really fatty bits of the meat
I wasn’t allowed to bin it .

He had millions in the bank and land worth many more millions he had 30.000 acres of land

Enjoy your life dearie. It's shorter than you think and you can't take your money with you.
Her condition is known as avarice.

I once saw a brilliant cartoon of a big fat business man, descending the steps of hell, carrying a great big basket of cash. Lucifer is saying: "Congratulations, you're the first to ever bring it with you, now what are you going to do with it?"
