What Category Of Advice Do You Typically Ignore

I consider the person giving me advice. I only take advice if I think the person is intelligent enough to give advice.

Bossy "instant expert" advice. Unless I've been dumb enough to ask them for it...then I shut up and listen...lol.

People don't seem inclined to give me advice, probably because my communications style doesn't open that door.

Most of my most rewarding accomplishments were "in spite of" what I was told (even by parents, husbands, friends) that I can't do and should not even try to do.
You must always do (or try to do) what you think you can't do or are told you are unable to do.

Advice from a "know it all". Especially when they say I should be doing this or that and they haven't had this problem before so they haven't walked in my shoes! So what do they know?

If the conversation starts out with, “let me give you some advice,” I will immediately turn and walk away.

Otherwise, I don’t mind listening to advice. It’s all my choice, and who knows, somebody might say something I hadn’t thought of before!

I usually ignore the people that tell me I will just love the book, movie, restaurant, present, etc...

It's amazing and sad to me that people I've known most of my life don't have any idea of what I enjoy.

I'm "typically" a listener and thus
will listen to well-meaning people
giving advice. I then trust my
common sense to love it or leave it.
I do ignore all internet ads.

When conversing with others I try to either relate to what they are saying by sharing experiences about myself which sound self centred but if I try and offer sincere help , I’ll start offering unsolicited advice. In fact, I’m horrible with doing this. Somehow, if someone has any type of problem or complaint , I think that I need to offer help when all they probably want is to be heard and acknowledged.

I don’t really ignore any advice. I’ll maul it over in my mind and consider if it’s helpful in my situation or isn’t.
