Drug Dealer Executes New Mexico Cop

I live in NM. When I moved here there were not shootings and homicides almost every day and night. I hate it here now but not possible to easily leave. “They” say it’s the drugs, meth causing the shootings. Well maybe if wasn’t so easy to get guns they could have fist or knife fights instead and innocent bystanders wouldn’t keep being killed.
Just as bad, the police here have no clue on how to deal with a person having a psychotic episode so they shoot them first. Mayor keeps promising to have better interventions but still only promises. In PA we had made advances on that 30 years ago. This state is such a terrible paradox. There is so much brain power here in the research labs, universities and military bases, but none of it seem to ever filter out to solve community problems.

I've always been for police being armed, and that's where my stance on guns begins and ends.

It's just a hunch, but my guess is the UK doesn't see 316 shootings a day, and I know we don't in Canada either.

Speaks for itself in spades.
 
Taking the class for a carry permit it was strongly emphasized the potential consequences of defending yourself by shooting someone even though you are found to be well within your rights. This means you could be hit with several law suits by family members blaming you for the suffering they have after losing their "child". One guaranteed method of reducing the murder rate is reducing the drugs flowing in every day by the tons.

If you think that legislation, forbidding the ownership of firearms is being controlled, then you will always have to endure the headlines that some trigger happy, in your words, bad person, has caused. The longer that the second amendment is deemed sacrosanct, the longer that you will have to live with it's fallout.
The only weapons that are permitted in my country, and with stringent limitations, are shotguns for clay pigeon shooting. In my seventy odd years of living on this European offshore island, the only sidearm that I have ever seen was the day that I had to visit a US airbase. The guy on the gate, this being protected US soil, wore a huge John Wayne six shooter in a holster. It did make me smile.
Naïve about gun crime, I am not, but I do empathise with our police when they refuse to carry sidearms. A gun begets a gun and so the disease grows.

who get killed, while doing his normal job.

I expected a lot of R.I.P. responses, but got a slanging
match of the pros and cons of gun ownership, I and
everybody here knows all the good and bad of guns,
they don't need to be written every time somebody
is killed with one.

R.I.P. Officer Darian Jarrott.

No my dear. How about you actually tell the truth here.
You started a thread all about the Covid virus but you apparently didn’t want anyone commenting on any of it . The article ‘you wrote’ stated that if anyone has any underlying health conditions then they may wish to pass up on the vaccination.

I added ONE sentence to your thread stating that most senior citizens have underlying health conditions.

That was it. Becky wrote something also.

You came in and told us to run along and quit spilling all our negativity on your thread to ruin it.
You told us that you deliberately put it in the section you did so you could add other info to it.

After basically telling you where to go you called me rude and a few other insulting names and changed the title of your thread to show that you no longer wanted it up.

That’s what happened. You set something up. You brought it down.
 
This was from earilier in the year I think. But there has been a total lack of respect for authority and human life in general which seems to be getting worse. Total lack of conscience. I don't what these pos are thinking when they pull crimes like this. I think some realize they are one event or issue away from their life changing forever. That's no excuse. At least have the guts to end one's own life rather than take issues out on complete strangers.

THIS is what I am most afraid of. APATHY toward the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I wuld bet, the first and second amendment will be no more, IN OUR LIFETIME!

The 1st will be, it has more than just one prohibition on the gvt. The 2nd only has 1.
