Come here and Post about the pit and the peak of your day.. ( the best and the worst part)....

It's only lunchtime here , so I'll post about my Peak and Pit for yesterday...

Peak : it was a beautiful warm day after 2 days of rain and I was able to get out and go to the street market in the next town and have a pub lunch with my O/H before he went off to work...

Pit : Hearing that a family member was having problems which are causing them real angst

Come and share your Pits and peaks here

Bumping this up in case anyone wants to share!!:D

This week

Peak.. beautiful hot sunny weather after a 6 month winter... longest winter ever.. I was able to go out and spend time as a spectator at white water rafting with some friends. I was able to go out with my husband to celebrate his birthday to a beautiful country pub another day( his birthday rarely ever falls on a day off) and on yet another day we got the gardens all mowed, and the trees and shrubs trimmed back and flowers planted, and a hubs made a whole new set of gravel boards for the borders... and we've got collared doves sitting on the nest in our trees..

One last peak for this week. After being told by doctors that she may have to have a new hip at just 42 years old my otherwise super-fit daughter has learned after extensive tests that it's not her hip that's the problem..but arthritis in her feet which is causing the pain in her hip.. so although it sounds like a Pit..the doctors feel they can arrest the arthritis, and she will thank God, not have to have any Hip replacement after all, so it's really a peak..

Pit:... A few minor health issues...

Yesterday:

Pit: Drove to an appointment with a doctor whose office I had not been to in a long time. Relied on my GPS, big mistake. It announced, "You have arrived at your destination," after I had driven past the one and only entrance to the office building. Lots of traffic, busy road. I was forced onto a ramp to the interstate, drove about 5-6 miles before getting to the first exit, left the highway and wandered through a spaghetti tangle of residential streets trying to get back to where the office building was.

I had received a standard email reminder, warning that any patient not showing up for an appointment without warning would be liable for a $150 fine. This didn't help my mood. Finally blundered my way to the building and found the right entrance this time. Amazingly, I was still about 10 minutes early. Good thing I left home early.

Peak: Got a lovely Mother's Day gift from one of my daughters, a few days early.

Wow, Sunny, $150 dollar fine for being late, ? I bet your heart was racing when you realised you'd gone past the Doctors' office...:eek:ops1:

Mothers' day here is in March. :D

The PIT is waking up in the morning, getting out of bed and having my Rheumatoid Arthritis and Peripheral Neuropathy cause severe stiffness and balance problems until walking a mile or so with my walker.

The PEAK is ANY part of the day when the stiff arms and legs loosen up and balance improves.

Wow a whole Mile before you start to loosen up that's quite a way. ...I have PF in my feet so I know how it feels to hurt when I stand up out of bed in the morning ( although obviously not as much as you)... I can't walk in my barefeet any more, so I wear sketchers' slippers with memory foam and that helps...

The best part of my day is my neighbor brought over a plate of fresh baked cookies - still warm ! I don’t know why ,but that was awesome ! The worst part is the cold ,rainy weather. I had to cancel my senior center class today and our trip to the dog park. It’s so gloomy - it’s downright depressing.

Nice neighbour TMS... ;)

Peak of my day was getting new pictures sent to me of my grandfurkids at their training centre.. showing new dogs and their owners how to behave.. :D

Pit:..some ongoing health issues were bothersome today

hollydolly, that's great your daughter won't need a new hip. :) 42 is just too young for that.

My peak of the day, packing for a trip out of town for a week or so.

My pit of the day, having to rush around and clean the house good before I leave.

Peak of my Morning today is that it's my daughters' 45 birthday.. I can't believe 45 years ago to the very day a Tuesday, at 7.20 am I gave birth to that beautiful and very accomplished woman.. 🥰

Another peak : the sun is shining and my neighbours tulips are looking glorious that I can see from my window...

Pit : My neighbours' gardener talks to everyone who goes past, he's very friendly but a real gossip, and he's LOUD!!...I've had to close my windows because I couldn't concentrate on the work I was doing ...

The Peak: Waking up in the morning to a new day, getting that first cup of coffee and seeing If I'd made anybody's day a little brighter with postings on the adventure riding forum. Having really old people like me post about their riding adventures seems to benefit others.

The Pit: I suppose there could be a low point or two on things I wish were better, but why go there. I am thinking y'all may have enough pits to deal with.

Peak ...getting out after months of lockdown, and getting my car Valeted finally.(y).also shopped until I almost dropped, and after all this time, able to get a coffee albeit sitting outside, no service inside . Good thing it was a glorious sunny day..

Pit... Actually had to wait an hour and 40 minutes to have the car cleaned... they were so inundated ,so I just went shopping while they got on with it. Also couldn't find anywhere to get my hair cut... all fully bookedup..
