The Peak and the Pit of your day , Post yours here

Peaks: I had to have rooter service and the young men who did the work were so pleasant and courteous. I suspect they did a really good job too. I called the company and told the woman who answered about them. She was so very pleased that I called to compliment them and said she'll be sure to tell their boss.
Peak #2...I went to the P.O. to mail one of my CDs that an online friend ordered and there was hardly a wait. Sometimes the lines are long.
Peak #3...my son brought home pizza today from the pizza parlor I like.
Peak #4 My granddaughter just called me to let me know she arrived safely from her first solo trip by bus from college. She had to miss a couple of classes but she said they were discussion oriented and the profs go easy on students before Spring break because they know the students are trying to get ready to go home.

Pits: Around 7:40 a.m. the maintenance man who cleans the hallways started with the vacuum. He also plays his radio so loud...I guess so he can hear it when he gets to the 3rd floor. It's static-y and annoying. Hasn't he heard of music on phones with earbuds?! I can't stand him anyway because he's so ignorant.
Pit #2. They are demolishing the parking garage in my neighborhood. It's already been nearly three weeks of jack hammering and banging. I feel like I'm hearing this in stereo because I can hear it from the front and back of my building. It's only half done! Will this be going on for another two or three weeks?!
 
Peak.. got my nails done, and in a pretty shell pink colour...
Peak : an Amazon order arrived one week earlier than expected...

Pit.. had to pay £200 to the dentist today
Pit.. absolutely lashing of rain...
Pit : news is full of the fact that our food costs are to rise by 50 %... with our Fuel prices at an all time high, and our utility bills to rise by 54 % in 2 weeks time... it's a big PIT

Wow a whole Mile before you start to loosen up that's quite a way. ...I have PF in my feet so I know how it feels to hurt when I stand up out of bed in the morning ( although obviously not as much as you)... I can't walk in my barefeet any more, so I wear sketchers' slippers with memory foam and that helps...

It's only lunchtime here , so I'll post about my Peak and Pit for yesterday...


Peak : it was a beautiful warm day after 2 days of rain and I was able to get out and go to the street market in the next town and have a pub lunch with my O/H before he went off to work...


Pit : Hearing that a family member was having problems which are causing them real angst

Peak I am ecstatic! My son was able to open (in his updated Logic program) and start working on a song project that I had the presence of mind to save on a hard drive. Good thing because my Logic program crashed years ago.

Pit I felt too tired to do laundry early this morning (or the middle of the night, some people say). Now I'm behind again and we're in for a snowy weekend so I probably won't get it done until Tuesday very early a.m.

PEAK... Cooked 40 lbs of chicken quarters today and froze for future fur baby meals. (cheaper the the floor sweepings and canned sludge they pass off as dog food today). Then went out and checked my solar pool heating set-up... Working great. (y) Then beat feet to my brothers house to help him fix his Harley. (gummed up fuel system from sitting). Got it running.

PIT... Once 2;30 comes around, my knee's pretty much give out, so it's time to sit poolside and contemplate the world. (come to think of it... that may qualify as a peak. ;)
 
Peak :..Glorious sunny day temps reached 70 deg f.. 🌞 🌞 🌷
Peak: Went for a walk around the local boating lake and park and took a few photos, very quiet and peaceful while the children are at school
Peak.. drove a 40 mile round trip to visit a retail park I haven't been to before.. to get my monthly grocery shopping.. and usual hardware and extras, trying to buy a little extra of everything in case of the threatening shortages.. including OTC meds..which I was able to get easily
Peak : Chancellor of the Exchequer reduced the price of petrol by 5p a litre from 6 pm tonight..


Pit.. : Couldn't get my car washed today, it's covered in pigeon poop after I left it out of the garage and under the tree in the road for just one day .. ( the road is full of trees so I had little choice) .. but the jet wash wasn't working ..have to take it somewhere tomorrow..

Pit : Did my grocery shopping in one of higher end supermarkets and was shocked to see almost every freezer empty of all vegetables... al that was available were Chips ( french fries)... not a single bag of green veggies to be had...

Peak again :...fortunately I have enough veggies in my freezers to keep me going for a while, but I did want some chopped red onions.. but couldn't get those either.. no matter I;ll find them somewhere or buy fresh and chop my own and freeze them
 
I learned a new safety behavior today from "I robbed a bank."
If you decide to rob a bank, paint your fingertips with nail polish, that way you will not
leave fingerprints.
Something to think about if you run out of money.

Difficult to determine if that is a peak or a pit?
 
Just a catch up of the last few days

Pit ... we've had snow at the weekend after having a week of glorious 70 deg temps.
OA has become so painful in my right hand now that I'm now having difficulty holding a knife, or opening bottle.. :(


Peak... Today it's dry and almost sunny...
At the weekend, I had my new mirror hung which my daughter bought for me as a Mothers day/Birthday gift, and I had
some outstanding repairs around the house completed..

I bought some pretty new garden chair cushions and an outside Flickering Solar table lamp
 
Peak - yesterday... Had my hair cut and hi-lighted...and also the sun was hot and glorious.. such a beautiful day.. 🌞 🌷

Pit :... sat in the salon chair for hours, my lower back nearly broke. I could barely stand upright after it was all finished... so I probably will never have that done again..

Today it cloudy and overcast, so I'll be staying home...
 
I live in an Assisted Living. We have exercises at 11:00, then lunch at 12:30. Best time of the day after lunch is visiting with all my friends . Pit of the day is 9:00 pm. It is dark and I am not sleepy.
