Yeah. They make me nervous in traffic. Otherwise I'm getting used to them bit by bit......Roundabouts...I can not stand them. BTW...I could never stand the song by Yes either

Not funny. I like that attendants rushed to her aid.ROFLMAO!
Looks like the woman in the video will be haunted by escalators now!
Now that's what I call going for a ride!
You're right, not funny, just entertaining. Not funny. I like that attendants rushed to her aid.
I'm pretty sure that it was staged as a spoof. Not funny. I like that attendants rushed to her aid.

As the old saying goes, SetWave... "I'll bet she won't do that again".Not funny. I like that attendants rushed to her aid.
Personally, I love roundabouts and, fortunately, we are seeing more and more 4-way stop intersections being replaced by roundabouts. They are very efficient if people know how to use them. Beyond a certain amount of traffic; however, they can clog up.Roundabouts...I can not stand them. BTW...I could never stand the song by Yes either

Same here and I've never before met anybody IRL who agreed with me about escalators; in fact, my parents, older siblings, and friends were always laughing at me for not being comfortable with 'em; thank goodness for this site. (Now, I've just gotta find another person who had problems figuring out how mirrors worked when they were a kid like me...some day...I agree. I have never been comfortable with escalators as the timing required is just difficult especially when they are going so fast.
If it were almost anyone but you Keesha, I probably would.Ours were too. I actually loved the teeter totters. It became a real challenge for balancing. If you sat forward you could often force the other person down and if you sat at the very back, they’d go flying into the air. Then you could sit there and make them squirm. No ! I wasn’t a bully.Lol
Poor Jules is gonna hate me.
Sorry Jules.
note: it was a game we all played together with friends and nobody ever jumped off leaving the other person falling.
Sorry. I was bad . My friends were bad and we did bad things together. I’m still bad. LOL!If it were almost anyone but you Keesha, I probably would.![]()
we've had roundabouts all my life, so I'm very used to them , I understand they're new in the Americas.. but I have driven in countries where there are no roundabouts, and it's so much more dangerous I feel...Personally, I love roundabouts and, fortunately, we are seeing more and more 4-way stop intersections being replaced by roundabouts. 'Give way to the right' seems to confuse many people, resulting in collisions.we've had roundabouts all my life, so I'm very used to them , I understand they're new in the Americas.. but I have driven in countries where there are no roundabouts, and it's so much more dangerous I feel...
In what country?...It's a pretty straightforward concept in this country...except for Idiots, but then they're everywhere'Give way to the right' seems to confuse many people, resulting in collisions.
I can relate. As a child I had a dream about going down on an escalator and instead of stepping off, I kind of "sifted" through the holes. To this day I think of that dream when getting off an escalator. When I was little I got my boot stuck in an escalator and I've been terrified of them ever since. It was a real struggle for me years ago when I used to fly through ATL airport for work.

That's the one that used to scare me the most, feeling as though you were going to flip over the handles.Ours were too. I actually loved the teeter totters. It became a real challenge for balancing. Well, as a pedestrian, I see things from a different viewpoint from a driver. Near where I live, there is a combined roundabout and a pedestrian crossing. Believe me, the safest thing to do is wait patiently until the road is free of traffic before crossing. I think drivers have too many things to think about and they get confused. In what country?...It's a pretty straightforward concept in this country...except for Idiots, but then they're everywhere![]()
