Greeting fellow seniors

I've belonged to a few health related FaceBook groups but this is my first fling at social media so excuse me if I lurk about and become familiar with the ways of Senior Forums.

I was frankly a little surprised that stating one's age is not one of the profile questions, I guess this way we can all pass ourselves off as 53 :) At my age I'm not inclined to pretend to be be anything more than what I am. Those pretending day are over, I'm alive and that's accomplishment enough.

I look forward to meeting many of you and sharing your perspectives on what life has to offer.

Welcome Josiah, I am new here myself and I think I have the hang of it now. I don't mind telling people my age, I get very nice compliments. My Mom and my sisters and I have aged very well.

Ameriscot, I am not a wee anything I am 77 years old.
 
Not me and I would be a liar to say I would not like to have my young figure back, but have found you need a little extra weight to keep you healthy as you age. I am 5' 6 and don't really mind my weight. I dress in a way it hides a lot of my sins. I don't have many photos, I am usually the behind the camera. When I find a landscape like this I do ask someone to take a picture. Taken at Acapulco Bay in 2008 on The Panama Canal Cruise.

Well I really am in my 50's....but welcome to the forum Josiah, age is but a state of mind.. :)
