Hunker down, looks like rising food prices.

Prices around here seem to vary a lot from store to store. I was pleasantly surprised recently when I went to a Whole Foods, previously known for its high prices (though excellent quality food), to see that many of their prices were actually below those of Giant and Safeway! I think Amazon owns Whole Foods now, and maybe that's the reason for the price reduction.

You're lucky. Nearest whole Foods to me... 120 miles or 170 miles. No Safeway at all in the state, and a Giant store 82 miles away. Sometimes there are disadvantages to remote living. :)

With Amazon Prime, I've been getting home delivered fresh food since they have taken over Whole Foods.
Prices are surprisingly low, compared to many other local food chains. And top quality and organic too. (y)

Their produce is top-notch. Best strawberries I've had in years. And they were only $3.49 for a good-size box!
