I thought Pearl Harbor was quite real and not a conspiracy. Especially since I recall that day quite vividly.
Like India can't have Covid because it's too hot there? Strange disappearance of that thread btw.We both know that anything of that magnitude will be politicized and possibly polarized.
Yes, I do believe this thread is turning political due to those who may be calling some political factions names for one thing.Isn’t this all turning into a political thread?
Well, @JimBob1952, your sources are kind of modern, aren't they? Written in 2006 and 2013. I won't torture myself by actually reading the articles (this is no insult to you; rather, I don't feel like reading) so since you have, do they contain such observations made in the 1960's or is it solely new theories or opinions?
Anecdotally, I've never heard any left type person ever saying that and I knew plenty. And National Review? Commentary is a fine magazine, IMO, usually anyway.
Oh, okay.Pepper, you said I imagined what I wrote. I didn't; I read it elsewhere. That's all I'm saying.
I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy...yet...Oh, okay.![]()
Is that a warning?I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy...yet...
Only when an official response doesn't pass the smell test do I question a theory. Now, there's no denying that a plane or something large struck the pentagon. However, the official response to people questioning the damage doesn't quite wash. (That is my opinion only). First conspiracy people said where did the wings go for the hole was much smaller than a 757. Official answer... the plane came in at an angle and sheared off some of the wings and the main fuselage and wing stubs entered the building. Sounded okay until I study some of the pictures. First, the official drawing of the plane angle. (see pic one). Okay, damage seems to back up possibility that while banking slightly, the right wing sheared off a bit, left debris outside and the main piece carried on inside before collapsing on itself (second pic red circle). However, the left wing when sheared, and it had to shear in order to produce the size hole in the building, doesn't appear anywhere to the left of the hole.
Somewhere between the heli-pad and building (3rd pic yellow circle) is as per the official drawing where the left wing should be. Does anyone believe that all that fire fighting equipment was parked on top of an airplane wing?
So, tell me... where is the left side wing debris?

Cover-up?Pretty thoroughly debunked by Popular Mechanics
https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/a5659/debunking-911-myths-pentagon/
Also, the big question would be "Why?" Why go through all this? To what end?
What about the videos of the flashes igniting on several floors suggesting timed bombs? Also what about the Pentagon destruction caused by many question. Don't say "what conspiracy" because the conspiracies were all over the medias and many still believe it was the U.S. that did it.What is the conspiracy theory involved in 9/11? Seemed pretty straightforward to me.
It was not Iraq as we learned long ago.Say what you mean. Who was behind the downing of the towers? I'd love to know.
Indeed. I had a relative who was sure the U.S. bomb, not a plane, caused the Pentagon destruction. It wasn't until I showed him a picture of the mess with plane parts in it did he change his tune. Then again, disagreement is to be expected. There are still "flat earth" believers who think the idea we're living on an oblate spheroid is a conspiracy. What about the videos of the flashes igniting on several floors suggesting timed bombs? My favorite UNCLE is on top of everything.Or else have a Napoleon complex, ha ha
Well, Jon, how do you explain this?Indeed. I had a relative who was sure the U.S. bomb, not a plane, caused the Pentagon destruction. Can't compare the absurdity of a flat Earth to popular theories. In the latest issue of Popular Mechanics there is an article on conspiracies. It states, " Over 50 percent of Americans regardless of age, education and political preference believe there was more than one person involved in the JFK murder." "45 percent of American adults have concerns about the safety of vaccinations while the Gallop reports 68 percent of American believe the government is hiding information regarding UFOs."Indeed.
