Conspiracies How Many Do You Believe?

Only when an official response doesn't pass the smell test do I question a theory. Now, there's no denying that a plane or something large struck the pentagon. However, the official response to people questioning the damage doesn't quite wash. (That is my opinion only). First conspiracy people said where did the wings go for the hole was much smaller than a 757. Official answer... the plane came in at an angle and sheared off some of the wings and the main fuselage and wing stubs entered the building. Sounded okay until I study some of the pictures. First, the official drawing of the plane angle. (see pic one). Okay, damage seems to back up possibility that while banking slightly, the right wing sheared off a bit, left debris outside and the main piece carried on inside before collapsing on itself (second pic red circle). However, the left wing when sheared, and it had to shear in order to produce the size hole in the building, doesn't appear anywhere to the left of the hole.
Somewhere between the heli-pad and building (3rd pic yellow circle) is as per the official drawing where the left wing should be. Does anyone believe that all that fire fighting equipment was parked on top of an airplane wing?
So, tell me... where is the left side wing debris?

Well, @JimBob1952, your sources are kind of modern, aren't they? Written in 2006 and 2013. I won't torture myself by actually reading the articles (this is no insult to you; rather, I don't feel like reading) so since you have, do they contain such observations made in the 1960's or is it solely new theories or opinions?

Anecdotally, I've never heard any left type person ever saying that and I knew plenty. And National Review? Commentary is a fine magazine, IMO, usually anyway.

Pepper, you said I imagined what I wrote. I didn't; I read it elsewhere. That's all I'm saying.

One conspiracy, that lock down, due to the pandemic has resulted in, is, heavier alcoholic consumption among baby boomers, or, retirees. There is some serious evidence to corroborate such claims.

The reason for that is, when anyone purchases alcohol, or anything else for that matter, chances are they will pay by card. And even if they pay by cash it's most likely that they will also produce a loyalty card so that points can be accumulated.

The sale of said alcohol can now be profiled because the naïve buyer didn't realise that their purchase was going to be profiled. So, Mr Jones of 15 Anywhere Street, when your insurance premiums are increased substantially you will be unaware that your insurance company bought your purchasing profile from the supermarket where you buy your whisky from, and are now completely familiar with your addiction.

More fool you.

Pretty thoroughly debunked by Popular Mechanics

https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/a5659/debunking-911-myths-pentagon/

Also, the big question would be "Why?" Why go through all this? To what end?

What is the conspiracy theory involved in 9/11? Seemed pretty straightforward to me.
What about the videos of the flashes igniting on several floors suggesting timed bombs? Also what about the Pentagon destruction caused by many question. Don't say "what conspiracy" because the conspiracies were all over the medias and many still believe it was the U.S. that did it.

Indeed. I had a relative who was sure the U.S. bomb, not a plane, caused the Pentagon destruction. It wasn't until I showed him a picture of the mess with plane parts in it did he change his tune. Then again, disagreement is to be expected. There are still "flat earth" believers who think the idea we're living on an oblate spheroid is a conspiracy.

My take on JFK:
JFK promised Sam Giancana there would be no pressure on organized crime.
JFK chose RFK for his attorney general and what is RFK main job? To go after the mob!
JFK never sent the air support he promised the Cuban invaders to over throw Castro.
Organized crime lost mega millions when Castro took over and ran them all out of Cuba.
Giancana was outraged when he learned JFK was having an affair with Marilyn Monroe.
The head of the New Orleans mob vowed to have JFK killed and was tied to Oswalt's assassin.
Oswalt was killed the instant he was exposed to the public.
All are exactly how the mob operates.

Well, Jon, how do you explain this? :)

Well coming from a down to earth person, with feet firmly planted on the ground (in spite of believing in fairies!) head out of the clouds...I have to say every consipracy theory contains a kernel of truth.

The theorists know this and that's their "strong" point...they play it to death. It's up to the individual to sift out the wheat from the chaff. As Ripley said...believe it or not!

Can't compare the absurdity of a flat Earth to popular theories. In the latest issue of Popular Mechanics there is an article on conspiracies. It states, " Over 50 percent of Americans regardless of age, education and political preference believe there was more than one person involved in the JFK murder." "45 percent of American adults have concerns about the safety of vaccinations while the Gallop reports 68 percent of American believe the government is hiding information regarding UFOs."
"....while an alarming 33 percent believed the government is concealing information about the legendary "North Dakota crash," an incident you don't remember because the researchers made it up." The article also states 4 percent of Americans believe in shape shifting lizard aliens disguised as humans while 7 percent said they are not sure. It says 48 percent of Americans believe the media and just 19 percent believe the system. "the system" is defined as a combination of government, the media, businesses and nongovernmental organizations."
